Wait, so you're basically calling people idiots for comparing him to Del Piero yet you're basing your opinion on him by the same unreasonable expectations the fanboys did? Why not evaluate his performances on your own expectations instead of the fanboys?
Gio was hired as a striker not only to score goals but also because he offered something different that would gives us an edge in the offensive side that we didn't have: a fast attacker with good technique, good on 1-on-1, good passer and good finisher (a game changer if you will). As far as I see he has not fulfill those jobs the way he should.

Juve is a big team, in any big team your star strikers cannot have less/equal offensive stats and game relevance than your DM...I'm sorry but that's just unacceptable, no matter how good the DM is. Also, as many others have pointed out, his goals and performances have not been game changers/deciders. He is a gifted striker, he should be a factor in every Juve game and I feel he has not been important so far in "our success", and he should since he has the potential to do so. Pogba has been ten times more of a game changer/decider than him in his first season with the team and coming from the bench in a MF position.

I think this is a problem with all of our strikers, not just him. Now, the difference is that he is the young skilled gunner who was hired to put new fire to the squad, and he is not doing it, so it's obvious who will take the shots. Specially if he is a solid lineup and Conte is circling 2nd strikers around him. And it shouldn't be a matter of team formation or tactics, we have practically tried them all in 2 seasons with him and a guy with his background should perform well under any scenario.

If this was Udinese, I would probably say screw it, lets give him time to flourish and he will eventually become the top striker we all hope and need before we sell him (lol). But this is Juve, we are not a cashing machine, we play for gold and we have a mentality of winning & building solid teams. Time is ticking and if we want the #31 and also fight for UCL we need the top striker now, not in 1-2 years. Ya dig?, that's the whole reason we are switching strikers everytime and are so eager looking for strikers in the market because we still don't have what it takes to be a top team. You just need to look at the Anelka situation to understand why would we sign and old striker for 6 months.

Now my hate is 90% because he was so over-hyped (by fanboys/media) to the point of retardation that he actually bought it, so now is practically mandatory to point when his arrogant ass fails. The other 10% is because he is a mythological dwarf and I hate his pree-teen fapper face.

That's because some of the mods hate Giovinco as well. Pretty obvious which ones those are.

You'd get a card for posting "CRAPello" back in the day. Now the mods just selectively enforce whatever.

Pretty cool, huh?
I almost got banned back in the days for this sh!t, fvcking Mikhail :D

Btw, I am with making fun of Giovinco, he's no legend no bars should be set around him obviously but against insulting him. I think only couple of members insulted him after the match. But when things cool down it shouldn't happen.

He doesn't deserve all the hate, but statistics are fucking misleading too. He doesn't deserve to be a starter. As a matter of fact, none of our current batch of misfiring misfits in attack should be starting next season.

Now, why is the Vidal thread close?
Goals+Assists
18 goal+assist: Vidal
16 goal+assist: Giovinco
13 goal+assist: Vucinic
12 goal+assist: Quagliarella
11 goal+assist: Pirlo

The problem is that a proper distinction is not made between that counts as jokes, and what as insult.

This is the reason 95% of the people who dont support giovinco, dont support giovinco

Giovinco = one of our most useful players so far

Isla = one of our worst players

People are patient with Isla but want to ship out Giovinco ASAP.
Giovinco : years to prove himself, years of complaining, promises to make the diffrence, doesnt do it, scumbag giovinco

Isla : comes back from a horrific injury, nothing to be expected of him this season, unless you are insane

zidane : supporters considered him a flop till februari. He wasent really good before that

Of all the years Gio had to prove himself, how many of them were really at Juve? The 08 and 09 seasons were not the ideal years as he was vice-Nedved/vice-Diego. In the years of consistent playing time he got with Parma, he certainly showed his potential. He clearly isn't the finished product, but he certainly has an exciting future now that he's back and is a big part of the first team.

Just as Isla is coming back from injury, Gio is coming from a team with different tactics and formation, not to mention different roles. And for someone who's valued at just 1 million less than Balotelli, you have insanely low expectations from Isla. In fact, you should be showing about the same amount of radical criticisms to Isla as to Giovinco. But NO. You show double standards to excessively criticize a player against whom you have a personal vendetta.

Rome wasn't built in a day. So keep calm and Forza Giovinco.

What if Gio isn't the kind of person who can take a joke, maybe we shouldn't joke at all...
Shut up, Raz.

Under Donadoni, Parma played 3-5-2. Comparing Isla's situation with Giovinco is just plain stupid. We shouldn't expect anything from him this season. Mr. 15G11A on the other hand..

I'm saying that we shouldn't expect stellar performances from anyone in their first season. It's obvious that Gio ain't a world class player. So expecting him to adapt and play like a champion in his first season back is unrealistic. Such militant criticism of Giovinco may be warranted in the 2nd year, but you guys need to chill the fuck down right now.
