Idgaf if he wears 10/7/80/100 as long as he plays to is potential
Precisely. His shirt number is fuckin' irrelevant!
Yeah, that's sweet, let's give our legendary number to a fucking peasant player. Who at 25 years age showed he can handle Parma pressure but nothing more, nothing that really showed that he is at least a bit worthy to wear such a clubs number ten.
Oh please! His talent is undeniable. He'd be an asset to any team he's in. He's a much better creative force than Vucinic, Giaccherini, Estigarribia or anyone we have on the left or centre. You're being unreasonable in calling him a peasant or a lowly player.

Lol what talent? He's not a kid anymore or he is forever potentialy exploding into world class? since from 10 it's what you want world class. He was somewhat average-good when he was given a bit chance with us. He is good with parma. but He will never ever be able to carry 10 shirt here. If you don't see it I can't help you with anything.

If you bring him back I'm alright with it, give him 7 or whatver he wants besides number 10 and give him time to prove himself and he will probably prove that he is a good solid squad player, who can be relied on to start from time to time.

I think we should send Gio along with Quags + 10 Million in a package deal to Fiorentina for JoJo.
That offer could tempt even someone like Cavani.
You can give me the number 10; I'll put it in my fridge :klin:
+1 to that!!
lol, how about LET del piero stay at least
i am afraid that high command has already decided to let him go...
of course it would be a crime to our history not to give him the chance to stay if he so wishes.
If it was by my hand, i would keep him, play him in our first CL return as a starter and retire his numbers for 2-3 years when he retires and of course give him a place in the team's management, right after that (unless he wants a sabbatical for a few years)

@Raz: Man, who the fuck cares what number he wears? It's such a small, insignificant, irrelevant part of a player. You're giving it more value than any other number because your favourite player is currently wearing. IT DOESN'T MATTER! All that matters is that we have faith in him and make him an important part of our "project". I don't care if he wears fuckin' 666 or even infinity as long as he plays well!

"Lol what talent?" :sergio: Seriously, remove those Gio-hate glasses. It's making you quite irrational.

he is not a Gio hater, just a DP lover.
And he is right, just a bit too aggressive on his presentation.
Gio has talent, but not enough to wear number ten in the 2012-2013 season, at 2013-2014 maybe...

No 10 is not what it used to be, but right after an iconic legend who wore it for a lifetime, at this particularly moment, it is.
It should be at least carried by a starter...

Well to me it does, you can be agnostic about it all you want, to me football is a place where I can express illogical stuff freely, for others to do really bad, and when I see a call going against us I don't care I just say it was supposed to be like that. I want traditions here, I want #10 to be a real one not a frail fragile body of it.

At the talent, he is talented, but he's nothing special, hes not a kid anymore, you can see what you will get with him, and that's nothing special considering what talents there are on the market, you can see that by attitude, and character you don't get anything special ether. He is a good solid squad player for a big team, and if he is brought for that I'm all for it and I will cheer as much as I can if that happens, but give him #10 is no from me and expect something from him he is not capable i'm not gonna expect taht.

It doesn't matter what number he wears! He loves Juventus, and no matter what number he wears, will give his all. It's just a number FFS! Stop giving it so much relevance!

from what i saw of gio when he played for you he's no better than giach or pepe on their good days...better than normal pepe no doubt
but considering he and family were milan fans, his hero is inter's figo and he has issues with del piero which he cannot keep his mouth shut about, you should probably skip getting him....i dont think he has shown anything special...

and as a del peiro fan i think it is an insult if gio get his number.

You are the first one who called me DP lover here  Though you are right about it, my main concern is not only with DP but with history the shirt has behind it, the generations who witnessed Del Pieros of their own time. I don't want that someone like gio be gicen #10 because I am most certain that he won't become even a grain of sand of what the precious #10 were.

:sergio: You are an idiot. And no, that is not an insult(before you mods penalize me), that's an honest assessment of your logic. I'm not discussing this with you anymore.

 that wast meant to be accepted as in word to word. But as my example showed.

I picked my team and I'm sticking with it. I don't care if it's logical or not.

In the end of the day, dont we all agree that no 10 should be given to a starter??
If Gio comes here and EARNS that status, then so be it, he is Italian, Juventus bred, Juve fan and no 10 on field.
If he proves to be Juve material starter, then he will be a natural choice, i m sure DP would approve.

Lets give it to Pepe, he's a starter.

I'm leaving, can't think of an idea of this midget being given #10 in Juve. Disgusting, just disgusting. Need to cool off.

like Giacche and Pepe look today, maybe, but you have to consider the Conte factor as well.
Giovinco under Conte and after a season been the team's star, will be far better that we have seen before.
Giacche ir really a poor man's Giovinco, but even then, i m not sure if that would be enough to make a difference in such a big club as Juve still is.
