Giovinco liking Del Piero’s shirt

Sebastian Giovinco has given the strongest indication yet that he’d be happy to return to Juventus this summer, as he eyes taking Alex Del Piero’s shirt number.

Del Piero is set to leave the Turin club this summer when his contract expires and Giovinco, currently co-owned by Juve and Parma, has admitted that he likes the idea of replacing him.

“A return to Juventus? It is still early, the co-ownership needs to be resolved, it also depends on the project they have in mind for or against me, but I am now thinking of nothing else,” he told Mediaset.

“Juve is having a devastating season and I hope it turns out even better in the end.

“Next year the No 10 shirt will likely be free? Certainly and it is a number that I like, but again, it is early.”

Giovinco inspired current side Parma to a 3-1 win at the weekend over Lazio, in a game that he hopes will help both his team and himself push on to end-of-season targets.

“Against Lazio we recorded a good win, we removed some of the hooks and detached ourselves away from the relegation zone.

“But we can improve - I also want to do well in these last eight games because I believe in the European Championships.”

Big big fuck no to this midget getting the #10. I'm not against his comeback, though I prefer we would find something better. But giving him #10... Now this is worthy of pettion. To tarnish Juventus Number 10 with such a lowly player. Again fuck no!
