Although i dont like Gio and dont rate high current Azzurri players, except one or two, i think, Marotta is just being conservative here, and is nothing wrong bout it. The problem is that hes trying to redeem his fault, rather than prevent it in the first place.
Considering we have mostly Italy players, what Marotta said is neither surprising or wrong. Giovinco is obviously better than Pepe, Giaccherini etc if he is being called. At least according to Prandelli. As Prandelli is Italy coach and Conte isn't surely Prandelli is right, right?
I love how everything has turned in this whole Giovinco saga.
