Although i dont like Gio and dont rate high current Azzurri players, except one or two, i think, Marotta is just being conservative here, and is nothing wrong bout it. The problem is that hes trying to redeem his fault, rather than prevent it in the first place.

Considering we have mostly Italy players, what Marotta said is neither surprising or wrong. Giovinco is obviously better than Pepe, Giaccherini etc if he is being called. At least according to Prandelli. As Prandelli is Italy coach and Conte isn't surely Prandelli is right, right?

I love how everything has turned in this whole Giovinco saga. A while back, me, Kasaki, Hustini and a few others were trying to convince everybody that Giovinco is actually a good player and that Ranieri and Ciro were wrong for benching him. People even wanted to trade him for Santon. Now, he's the hot topic in Italy. After all those years.
