I think cost was one factor, not enough teams could afford it, or so they said. Albertini proposed it, also for the teams who want it to have 'B' teams like in Spain. This would probably suit half the teams in Serie A, especially the top 6 or 7.
It's not like you have to have a full squad. Teams in England regularly play the better youth players in the reserve squad. Liverpool's reserve squad is usually half reserve players, half older or better U-18 prospects.
Criscito is average at best, so it was a great from him that he didn't want to come back.
If Giovinco shines and Juve want him back, they would tell him that he's coming back to play and he'd prefer to play with Juventus much more than at Parma.
Parma is the ideal place for Giovinco, it's a privileged solution.
Parma's excellent relationship with Juventus also weighed upon the deal. There is disappointment for Bari as Giampiero Ventura expressed kind words for him.
But we are happy to have found an excellent solution for Giovinco.
But what is a proper chance? How long should the club try? There's really no way of knowing that, is there?
And considering that Criscito really hasn't progressed like most people (myself included) had thought, I don't think we messed this up.
Plus, the fact remains, he started the season as a regular, lost his place and instead of fighting to win it back he choose to leave.
What's a proper chance? I'm not entirely sure, but I know a handful of matches for a youngster isn't.
I simply prefer a more cautious, patient and growth-inspiring view on young talents than most. I don't find any logic is pressuring a kid to perform, whether it be in his first couple of matches or by placing him on loan. This is just my approach from thinking like a young player, not a manager.

Yep, it's something I am fully aware of In England U18 is the highest youth level, s many 18-19 players play reserve games, often against some good players.
His debut match could be against Racing santander.
Come on Gio Fanboys, time to cry and watch
On a side note though, im glad its finally materialised, its a good deal for all partys involved, I have no doubt gio will do well at parma and can once and for all cement his place at Juve, off the bench that is.
