I was thinking about the Azzurrini team who played the U21 championship here in Sweden and wanted to see whats going on with them today. In that tournament, Giovinco was the biggest star of that team and he was behind 3 out of 4 goals Italy scored. He was also picked for the All Star team of the tournament.

Consigli:Atalantas first keeper.

Motta: Gets to play, started the game for Roma today.
Bocchetti: Starter for Genoa
Andreolli: Benched for Roma
Criscito: Star at Genoa. Plays for the the Italian NT

Marchisio: Starter for us.
De Ceglie: Starter for us as a LB.
Cigarini: Sometimes a starter and sometimes he comes in from the bench. Involved.

Balotelli: A star for Inter. Plays regularly.
Acquafresca: Just went to Genoa, is playing and scoring
Giovinco(The Star of the team): Super benched and forgotten. No chances and no playing time at all.

And from the bench, we have players like Candreva and Rannochia who's been great this season.

Ironically, the best player of the team and one of the best players of this tournament is the one who's getting least amount of playing time. Well done, Juventus. Make us proud.

It's because he doesn't have the physical strength to play in that position and can get easily isolated. He played a few times there with Ranieri.

To get the best out of Giovinco's talent, he has to play as a winger and can cut to the middle and combine with Diego and forwards.

Your signature, mate, has made me chuckle...with warmth...reminding me how demented football supporters can be. Perhaps I am the same when it comes to Rooney, as in, a little lacking in objectivity, but Zidane<DP...that's pure berserker, pure fanaticism. And why not eh? Even though my own feelings on the matter are that Zidane was a demigod, likely one of the most special players EVER to play the game, whereas DP is a fair way below that level. Having never lit up the world stage as brightly or consistently...

Agreed with you here, strangely enough.

If he is going to be playing even with all those injuries, why not use him in a deal to get a player we might use instead. What a waste of talent. The kid need a change of scenery because what's happening to him is depressing and it's obvious he is effected by it. You can play him 5-10 mintues only after not playing him the previous 5 games, and then expect him to turn heads and make wonders in those little mintues. He needs to be playing more, but apparently he is the scapegoat. Alot of players aren't performing up to standars and still getting mintues on the pitch, but when it comes to gio, it's either he does something in the little time given or rot on the bench for the next 2 months. Enough of that and let just give him to a team that will appreciate his talent.

Any news about him? Still injured? Back in the squad? I read an article about the Juventus training but there is no word lost about him...
