Amauri will stay I think. I did not suggest to turn to the 4-2-3-1 due to dropping Del out of the lineup. If we get a manager who is bold enough to do that then we need a new RW and a fantastic one at that.

I think the comparison with Miccoli is pretty accurate. Both are short, young and creative as hell and both are being pushed out of the club by getting totally ignored.

But the difference is Miccoli is a little bulldog. He's short, not small.

Gio is both.

I still think the best scenario for him is as a support striker, on a team that has wide players that basically negate the opposing fullbacks, thereby leaving Gio one on one with the opposing centre backs.

He needs space, and in order for him to create it, he has to get stronger so that he doesn't get knocked off the ball as often.

I also think he should play out wide, thats usually where the smaller players play, like Messi, Lennon, Giuly etc. Giovinco as a support striker wouldn't be any good for him cause he would have to deal with the opponents big CB's and DM's. His best games has always been out wide and he wasn't that good as trequartista when Diego was injured in the beginning of the season.
