so what if keeping Giovinco is not in the best interests of the club, just as playing DP even though he is in his mid 30s might not also be in the best interests of Juve? you forgot that we signed Amauri when he was 28...Cassano is in the best condition and form of his life, and on his day the man is a matchwinner

I want the best for juve not giovinco. And I want the best for us now and not maybe in 7 years time if Giovinco develops. And right now cassano is 20 times the player giovinco is.

Giovinco hasn't really taken these chances, nor has he strenghtened his weaknesses and someone as weak as him will never suceed in a league as physical as this, it's not really the mark of a great player if you don't seem to be improving in any areas. For that reason if an oppertunity arrose to trade giovinco with cassano I would be all for it.

Giovinco developed his 'star' qualities earlier than many others but players his age have matured now too and he still seems special but not quite spetacular or a world beater. Please look at his recent U21 euros to see what I mean.
The championship was here in Sweden and I saw it and Swedish journalists who followed the tournament closely thought that Giovinco was one of the best players of the tournament. He was almost behind every chance and goal Azurrini scored.

Yet he got bullied all over the park by people his own age, andreas beck completely destroyed him and forced him into many mistakes. Imagine what dani Alves would do to him. That's my point

Giovinco is tricky as hell and he can force him to back up with being booked or maybe knocked off... and as far as i know he made 3 players from chelsea get booked and he was free in the end or u don't remember..

C'mon guys you are over reacting..

If giovinco can't hold his balls to score a meaningless penalty against bate then imagine in a cl final shootout this year 9/10 times a miss is from a lack of confidence which screws with your mind and technique.
If a 28 year old cassano who is far more confident can score that penalty and bring us the cl it is worth more than anything giovinco could ever offer.

Luca you just want him out right.. and last thin' to say is the penalties when we have a player like Trezeguet who is one of our best goal scorers and maybe del piero like he did against Aston villa!!!

Hazem, don't be emotional, Luca is just stating facts...you need to stop thinking purely as a Giovinco fan (we ALL are), and more as a Juve fan

Plenty of players we love/loved have missed such penalties, hardly a reason to be anti-Giovinco, in the fact the whole penalty argument seems very thin.

I'd rather wait until the end of this season before I cast my vote, could be the crunch time by then anyway. After two games when he is low on confidence, not for me. Fans are fickle.

I'm not against. Like I said I'm indifferent, if giovinco can step up to the plate great. If not then I would quite happily say 'jog on'
and the penalty agruement is thin yes but I was trying to demonstrate how cassano right now is more benefical to us. I suggest you read the rest of my posts from tonight instead of piking on this alone I'm not fickle, just stating what is fact, true and more likely.

I didn't say you were fickle in honesty, as I don't know your individual prior opinion of Giovinco, or if it has changed at all.

In general, there has certainly been a negative sway of opinion against Giovinco, but that is football. If he has one great game you will it swing the other way for many, so currently I can only be indifferent.

I'm interested on the notion of 'truth' though, as if these pre-conceived ideas about Cassano and Juventus are infallable.
