Giovinco shouldn't play as trequartista. He is too small to play behind the strikers and the two central midfielders can take care of him pretty easily. I've never really been impressed by him when he plays behind the strikers, he should always play on the flanks.

Underdeveloped? I dont know about that, he has been really good whenever he got the chance to play for Juventus on the left flank instead of Nedved. But I dont rate him as a trequartista playing behind the strikers.

yes just look at some of his selfishness, bad finishing and even tonight at times poor touches, these are meant to be some of his best attributes, yet sometimes he displays them poorly. But don't get me wrong, I don't htink he';s a poor player, but he's not there as I expected him to progress just yet.
Hey hasn't been given enough time yet. Ranieri never used him and when he did it was with like 14 minutes to play, yet he still managed to create something from very little. The guy is going to do well, if he did so much in so little time imagine what he will do when he gets regular playing time.

That is assuming that he has the physical ability to withstand a pounding for 90+ minutes per match.
He's excellent in spurts.
Then again though, you have to take into consideration that he went onto the pitch when the opposition had already played at least one half of football. What will he be like if he has to play 90 minutes a game.
Or maybe, just maybe, Ranieri knew this all along.
And yes, I know that he played in 35 matches with Empoli, but he didn't play a full 90 in them in more than a handful of those matches.
There is nothing wrong with him playing 30-40 minutes per match, or coming on when Juve need a boost to take advantage of the opposition's tired legs.
But if you want him to play 90 minutes per match, then unless he greatly increases his physical stamina and strength, he is eventually going to be a liability.
My issues with Ranieri's handling of him wasn't so much the fact that he didn't play him every week, it was just that when there were moments when this team really could ahve used his energy and creativity, the fucking knucklehead didn't play him.
