Gio was outstanding, wasn't he? So glad to see him back with Juve, and actually ace in his first official match with us.
yeah his new nickname should be "big pimpin". he has such a low center of gravity, that guy an turn on a dime...that is hell for a defender trying to mark him.

Eh, I'm a prude, so I'd rather not nickname someone I like with words like "pimpin", LOL. That's just me, though

But yeah, he's brilliant. Glad to have him on our side.

there should be a poll...."who do you think should start for now on": neddy or gio?
Gio should probably start in Nedved's position if Camo was fit but seeing how Camo is injured and tends to get injured he should play there until Camo gets back then Giovinco can be rotated with either Camo or Nedved.

Because Sali and Marco don't cut it imo.

Almost every chance we created was sparked by him.
What a talent !

I was looking at the first pages of this topic. Back from our serie B days.
I'm really proud we were right since the very beginning. I certainly ain't, and i know Dom and Andy also aren't guys who jump to hype up every young player, but this time we all felt that this one is special.
We also did it with Hamsik when no-one knew him and i still stand behind what i said about Jovetic about a year ago that he'll make it.

The three of us should work as scouts :D
Damn straight! We certainly should.

Good finds there. I was really concerned about the loan though, but I'm glad he still turned out well and came back right away.

Giovinco will be leading our attack for a decade to come. :excited: Knock on wood.

i don't care how much he wowed everyone today, he obviously fell subject to our goal coma after amauri's opener and ended up just like everyone else on our attack.

he was impressive but none of that means nothing if we come away with 1pt against gutter clubs like catania

i don't care if he comes out with his own fucking highlight reel, it doesn't mean shit to the club if we don't win

So it's his fault we didn't win?

Sure, we should have won and the draw is unacceptable, but what Giovinco showed today is that he is ready to play. And this is important because nobody on the squad can create as many chances as he can. So give the kid a break, Dru.

i'm in no way blaming him for the result. i'm just not liking everyone sucking his nuts cuz he played well against a far more inferior team. yet we still drew 1point from todays encounter. hmmm....

big fucking deal, we all knew he could play, it was just a matter of letting him play and he did against a trash side. big deal, i doubt he would get a start against roma, lazio, udi, inter or any other worthy club

He did his part, man. You're obviously more team-oriented than most of us, which is good: win as a team, lose as a team, for the good of the team, etc...BUT...Giovinco's performance this past game was particularly important because he adds the spark that this team needs. And it's not his fault that Amauri and Del Piero couldn't finish their chances. Evidently, that's important if you want to score goals.

It's one or the other with this team, it seems. Good finishing last year, but piss service. And now that they're getting more service (but not enough, really), they can't finish.

Well who's fault would that be Dru?

I just don't really see why you're expressing this whachamacallit in this thread. Sure, he's being praised, so what? The kid fucking deserves it as he was creating every single chance we had today.

Ofcourse any player can adopt to new positions 35 year old or 16, I am not arguing about that vlat. All I am saying that I am not sure if Giovinco can play on the wing, breaking defense making crosses and all, I just don't believe he has that abilities. I am not an expert (like some of the members here pretend to be), but from what I saw about Giovinco, his specialty is making wonderful passes, distributing the ball to the best available places with almost perfect passes, he reminds me Zidane's (agains talking about positions and not skills :D) job than C.Ronaldo's.
Snoop, sorry to say but I think you couldn't have been more wrong. He's all about explosiveness, quick feet, dribbling, breaking defenses...he's closer to Messi than he is to Zidane. It's still one game I saw from him but wow...what a talent. It's been a long time since I saw someone in Juve who just took my breath away. He can easily play on the wing, hell, with skills like that, he can play pretty much anywhere bar defense.
