English Giants Set To Snap Up Giovinco?
There are reports that have just emerged in England and Italy over the past few hours that suggest Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool are all hoping to take advantage of Sebastian Giovinco’s contract dispute with Juventus.
Giovinco is one of the most exciting prospects to have come out of Italy in recent years, and he is being tipped by many experts to be a superstar of the very near future.

The 21-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Empoli, is owned by Juventus and is due to be part of their first team squad for the coming season.

However, a few problems have begun to emerge between player and club regarding a new contract. Giovinco is demanding an improved deal, but so far transfer director Alessio Secco is only willing to pay the attacking midfielder €500,000 extra per year.

Some statements, from yesterday, attributed to Giovinco’s agent Claudio Pasqualin appeared to suggest that he was confident that a new deal would be signed soon.

However reports emerging in the last few hours suggest that Giovinco is far from happy with Secco’s offer, and as a result Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool are all ready to take advantage and bring the young prodigy to the Premiership.

Such news, if confirmed, would surely horrify Juve fans, who several weeks ago launched a campaign to keep Giovinco, following reports that Secco was considering offloading him to Palermo.

if this happens i will personally kill secco
if poulsen could get 3 mil. then giovinco certainly gets an improved deal worth of 1,5 mil

There is no way. Once a juventini, Always a juventini! It just bothers me that english teams think they can do everything. For example Man city trying to get Ronaldinho. I mean maybe they have the money, but no man would choose Man city over Milan. Fuck the premier league!!!

I know the goal.com article is a lot of BS..but we know these English Teams are real pirates of the footballing World,i really hope Giovinco ties his new contract sooner rather than later, after Gio both De Ceglie and Marchisio should be given a new contract also...

those 3 aren't 15 year old kids...they are just a season away from big-time football, and Juve have shown a lot of faith in them
i agree, we have shown a lot of faith in them. But we should show more by paying in them more money, 500k is stupid if poulsen is getting 3mil.
Is it me or does every contract negotiation go terribly?

Of course.
Another thing - They're under contract with Juventus, unlike the juniors ManU and Arsenal keep stealing from Italy and Spain.

Marchisio, Giovinco and De Ceglie can leave us only if we want to sell them. And we obviously won't be selling them.

No mate, the 500 000 eur are ok for a start.
That's how all the Italian teams work with the youngsters who are playing their first serie A season for the team.
Just take a look at our last year wages and how much we were paying the young Italian players. All were getting less than 1m, even Chiellini.
It was the same with all the other teams from Italy. Balloteli, Pato, Hamsik, Aquilani....they were all earning less than seniors like Favalli, Birindelli, Solari or Kuffour.

That's like a tradition that will do a lot of harm to everyone if we go against it. The youngsters need to prove themselves first and then ask for a fat contract. Chiellini and Aquilani earned that right and now they won't be earning less than Birindelli or Kuffour.
Giovinco will undoubtedly earn that right this season and next year he can freely ask for a better contract, like Chiellini did.
