it's not the same sh*t with Stendardo and Maniche. I know what those deals are.

Giovinco is a loan + rights to buy for Empoli and Juve have the right to counter it buy paying a pre-determined sum for half of the contract.

Empoli will do it so they pay let's say 5m €...Juve counter for half so they pay 2.5m €...after that Juve and Empoli negotiate an amount to get him back at Juve.

That's 5m € from Empoli + 2.5m € from Juve so that 's 2.5m € in Juve's pockets. Juve offer 5m € for the other half and Giovinco is owned fully by Juve.

To make it simple, Empoli get 2.5m € out of it.
This is a pure idiocy, I can't believe we involved our only proper Juve product in a shitty deal like this for a shitty average player like Almiron, way to go Secco.. Keep up the good work!

at the end of the day, it doesnt matter because Giovinco wouldnt want to play for empoli.. so even if they decide to buy him, he doesnt necessarilly have to sign for them...

But we're gonna pay half his price.........thats just stupid, some times i think secco is intentionally working against the club.......

They can mess with Juve, gain a dollar and then sell him to another club and make even more money.

not necessarily... Hypothetically speaking.. lets say Empoli decide to buy the player, and Juve agrees.. If Empoli cant reach an agreement with Giovinco, then the transfer doesnt go through... and since the player is still contracted(owned) by juve, he will then have to return to juve.. without Juve having to pay penny...

I don't know why people are giving Mark a hard time over this. He's usually right about contracts, plus he's fluent in Italian. We have been screwed over by La Viola recently with dealings with them, and to me this sort of deal sounds idiotic in any of the different ways it has been presented here.

All our most promising youngsters(De Ceglie,Marchisio,Giovinco) definitely will return at the end of the season and there won't be any trouble with getting them back due to the good rapports between us and Empoli, Siena. So chillax guys:D.

So I'm the bad guy here hey? :D

yeah, Empoli can "buy" him back but Juve can exercise the option to get him back for the small amount they agreed with Empoli. They just have to agree on the other half.

It's not like we'll lose him or something. We'll just pay Empoli a couple of millions for developing our player by playing more games he would with Juve and making him gain some Serie A experience.

I don't like it but I'm not Juve's GM. At MAX I would have made it a loan. Hell, if Moggi was in charge he would have made Empoli pay for it. ;)

you guys are also forgetting the fact that there are two types of options.. one option is the type you guys are talking about..
and the other is the type of option we supposedly got for Huntelaar, in which , if Juve decide to sell the player Empoli has first dibs, but they have to match the highest bidders bid...

You are also forgetting call options, put options, swap options, commodity options, bond options, index options, futures options, call spreads, put spreads, butterfly spreads, etc. All sorts of options.
