Elkaan: Giovinco Is Staying

Juventus heir John Elkaan has revealed that the club has no intention of selling Sebastian Giovinco.

Giovinco is currently on loan at Empoli but he is set to return with the Bianconeri for next season.

The young playmaker has attracted interest from several clubs and it has been reported that Palermo want him in order to allow Amauri to move to Juventus.

The Bianconeri are not giving in to the Rosanero’s demands which could mean that Amauri won’t be wearing a Juve jersey nest season.

“We want to keep Sebastian Giovinco at all costs,” said Elkaan.

“He will be vital for next season given our Champions League and Serie A ambitions.

“We will try to strengthen our squad with some quality players as our primary objective will be to do well in Europe.

“We have available resources to do well in the transfer market and we will try to do this in the best way possible.”

The Bianconeri will have to qualify for the Champions League group stage via the preliminaries after failing to reach second place in Serie A this term.

Juve play Sampdoria on Saturday night because of TV rights where as Serie A’s remaining games take place on Sunday.

No need to be. He is the Owner of Juventus, or the President of the company that owns Juve. He has no reason to make a cheap statement that is untrue or such. Actually uncommon for us that the owner of Juve makes a specific comment about a young Juve player (Lapo isnt unlike John, Lapo also makes many populistic comments all the time).

I say this because I have also read that the Amauri deal is completed. We all know Giovinco is included in that deal so it doesn't really add up in the end.
The management confirmed Giovinco is coming back only a few weeks ago only to say that it would be okay to see him go on a loan deal. They seem to change their minds everyday this management of ours so untill I see Giovinco sign a contract with us, I will remain skeptical of this whole thing.

Why do we all know Giovino is added in that deal? Since when?

Its speculated Palermo wants him (it has been media talk of Palermo wanting him, nothing more), but besides one weird comment of Cobolli (dont know the context) EVERYONE else has said Giovinco will be back for next season. I mean even the owner went on a limb to bother to say Giovinco is untouchable (why would he say we are going to keep Giovinco at all costs?). Ranieri has said constantly how he is off the market etc.

But that's the thing, Osman. One weird comment. Perhaps that's one weird comment on one weird day during the month, which could then be followed by another weird comment, or decision, when Gigli or these other morons have a brain fart. And yes, saying that Giovinco could be loaned out again was an inane decision in itself because who the hell would think that's a good idea?

It's just ridiculous stuff such as this, and the 5,000 other ridiculous things that our morons in charge have said or done that allows us to question their ability and even sanity to run Juventus. And yes, even to question the possibility that they could be so idiotic to loan out Giovinco AGAIN.

One weird comment followed by another?.That was an idiotic comment on one person's part but he is not the only one who matters. And still..in this case, the idiotic comment that you keep coming back to was followed by denial, and it was preceeded by silence too.The comment was made by one idiot.Had they really wanted to sell Giovinco then Ranieiri wouldnt have said that he's untouchable.Secco never said anything..and nor did Ranieri. Its obvious where the majority of the board wants Giovinco to be next season - Juventus.

You're just looking for reasons to diss the board Andy, even when its become more and more obvious that Giovinco will be staying.

Yeah, that's all I'm trying to do. Who cares about how we keep losing out on our transfer targets, who gives a care if we waste money on people who fail or don't even chase players who could make a difference for this side. The only reason why I hate the board is because they raped my sister when I was young...

Okay, fine. Our board is entirely competent and Giovinco was always going to be here despite Gigli saying he might be loaned out again. Not to mention Eto'o is a shit player.

Im not even talking about the other transfer targets.Im only talking about Giovinco. You're brining up Gigli over and over again, forgetting than he is not the only one who matters.I never said that we had a perfect board, because we dont. They've made mistakes, and we do need a better board. You can blame them for a lot of things, but blaming the entire board for a comment made by one idiot is wrong.Especially since that comment was neutralised by Ranieri...and also, since now its become even more clear that Giovinco will stay here. For crying out loud, the Amauri deal could collapse because the majority of the board dont want to give them Giovinco.Dont tell me you STILL think that Giovinco's going to Palermo.
