Palermo Hopeful Of Signing Giovinco
Palermo transfer chief Rino Foschi is hopeful of signing Juventus-owned sensation Sebastian Giovinco as part of the deal that will see Amauri end up in Turin.
Brazilian striker Amauri is almost certain to join Juve, with Palermo President Maurizio Zamaprini yesterday stating that the deal was “98 per cent” completed.
Part of the transfer agreement will see a number of Bianconeri players move to Sicily in exchange, and Foschi is confident that Giovinco will be one of these.
"The remaining 2 per cent relates to the agreement between the player and the Bianconero club,” explained the transfer director.
“We have asked for Claudio Marchisio, Antonio Nocerino, Sebastian Giovinco, and Davide Lanzafame in return.
“Juve would prefer the loan formula, but we think we can purchase them permanently or obtain most of their ownership.”
Yesterday Napoli transfer guru Pierpaolo Marino declared that he had given up hope of purchasing Nocerino, as the midfielder was on his way to Palermo.
As for Giovinco, it seems inconceivable that one of Europe’s most explosive young talents could be sold on a permanent deal.
The 20-year-old, who is on-loan at Empoli this campaign, is being tipped by some sections of the press to join Palermo on another one-year loan contract.

wow all i can do is laugh, i dont understand how this is even thought of how it can be an option or a target for a player like amauri, now im not saying he isnt good but come on a 28 year old striker, for four future talents bar maybe nocerino. wow!. i am speechless this is the most ridiculous thing i have heard in ages, but yet i am still scared, scared it might happen.

Loaning giovinco would be one hell of a dump move IMO. What's the point of loaning a player to another club specially if he's young? To gain more experience and get the chance to play more and prove himself. Giovinco did all that this season, he wants to go back to juve and be part of the team. Next season is the best time for giovinco to be in the team, he'll be nedved's sub and he'll get plenty of playing time and slowly he'll be a starter for juve....Loan him out and am pretty sure he will refuse to come back to juve, they're killing him this way......
I am OK with Lanzafame and Nocerino leaving. I would be willing to see Marchisio leave but only on loan. Giovinco I would like to see in our team next season even though I could accept a 1 year loan (especially if we bring a good left midfielder). That is the most acceptable thing for me. I wouldn't want to see Marchiso or Giovinco sold permanently and I doubt it will happen because it is obvious Palermo would try and use us in the best possible way. If they give up on Amauri and get 4 players in exchange permanently, they have done a great deal and used us to the maximum. If they get 4 players on loan and sell Amauri, then it is the opposite: we used them in the best way possible.
Anyway, I don't believe this bullshit, it's a mere speculation and it is still far from final agreement. What is Palermo thinking, that they have a world's best player in their squad, asking for 4 players (full ownership)!? They must be insane.
