“This will be an important solution for Juventus too as it will allow the boy to play with regularity
- Parma president Ghirardi

Seems like maybe we're showing an interest in Seba or else why would he try to convince Juve saying that more regularity for Seba would be good for Juventus. I have a good feeling about him coming back. I believed he was done but seems like the games against us this season left a good impression on Marotta. With his agent opening the door for a comeback and Ghirardi talking I think there could be a chance.

You don't know that.
I don't, I hope I am wrong, I hope he returns, but I am not seeing it coming

Anyway, Giovinco the under-21 international is something no longer exist, he just need to take more responsibility, impose his character, shows his true value.

I just don't know why he keep hiding from the ball, if I were the coach, the first thing I would tell him, when ever we are attacking and the ball is in the opponent half, I want him to go close to the play and not just stand behind defenders, like he is a normal player.

He has potential, great vision, talent, but he lacks leaders character.

relatively late, but not too late, he still can learn this cause he already had it (unfortunately it was at the under-21 level)

The lad got skills, moves, speed and creativity. If there is something lacking in our current squad than it's certainly these four attributes.
If possible, bring him back and give him some regular playing time before we waste another amount of money on garbage.

Ah, like the impression Pepe, Pazienza, and Motta all left on him?

“I believe that Giovinco will stay here and we’ll take up the option to buy half of his contract,” the Tardini chief noted.

“This will be an important solution for Juventus too as it will allow the boy to play with regularity.

“Amauri? We’ll have to wait and see.”

Giovinco: I will stay at Parma

Sebastian Giovinco has no intention of returning to parent club Juventus this summer. “I want to stay at Parma.”

The Italian international has spent the last season on loan from the Turin giants, but he is clear about his future plans.

“I think that I will remain at Parma,” he told Sky Italia. “President Tommaso Ghirardi and director Pietro Leonardi have been quite clear about it.

“Unless there are some radical changes to the plans, then I am 99 per cent sure of remaining here.

“Juventus were very clear with me. They told me that I wasn’t a part of their project and it is better for me to stay at Parma. I don’t want to make the same mistake I did a few years ago.”
Parma have the option to buy 50 per cent of Giovinco’s contract this summer and they have confirmed that they intend to do exactly that.

“It has been my best season yet,” continued the former Empoli player. “It was tough and we did fear for relegation.

“The home loss to Bari really scared us. But we were then reborn and we almost got to 50 points.”

The Tardini outfit eventually finished on 46 points – 10 more than relegated Sampdoria.

Ah, the project. :touched:
Everybody likes to rag on the likes of Berlusconi, Marotti, Zamparini, and the like, but it is times like this when you have a president who likes to stay in the background, that you wish that sometimes you had a president that wasn't afraid to speak his mind. A president like that would have insisited that Giovinco play more regularly.

This was Seba's first season as a regular starter and it was a pretty damn good season for a struggling team. He'll become one of the best next season with the experience from this season in his back. I have no doubt about it.

One can only hope. The only thing that concerns me is his insistence to stay at Parma instead of taking on a bigger challenge. I have to wonder sometimes if he has a provincial mentality. Someone of his age and talent should not just be willing to stay at a mid-lower level club like Parma.

I would hope that his ambitions would be to aim for something higher than that

They way that I've understood it is that Seba wants to be a part of the Italian NT in 2012 and if he keeps playing regularly he'll have a much better chance of making it than if he risks it with coming back to us and we end up screwing him all over again and he misses the championship.

I know, but...................................Parma?

Surely his talent is better suited for a side better than Parma.

This almost reminds me of Baggio after he left Inter, except that Baggio was over 30 years old by that time.

This is my point. He shouldn't be content just staying at Parma.

But where should he go? They own 50% of his contract..
