In the near future, where DP is going to be a subber one step before retiring and Treze will be at France, we will need someone to help Amauri finishing those goals he cant finish today.

Amauri is a great player and he can make an offensive action by his own,
lets not underestimate his creative skills! These are what make him so valuable.
Not his finishing, his age shows that he is going to be our number one choice in the near future. I would like someone who can complete him.
Cassano is not that person!!

I m not satisfied with his partnership with Iaq, because they tend to make so many more chances, but waste most of them too.
They are not reliable prolific goal scorers.
This twin is very very creative and if we add Diego too,
we really wont need any more creative input upfront.
People need to realize we are not playing 4-4-2 anymore!

We dont have creativity issues anymore, we start having finishing issues though!
And Cassano cant help us with them! This is where we need help, if Cassano creates the chances that Amauri and Iaquinta do now,
it just means less chances created by them, that wont change our finishing issues!
This problem wont disappear if we create even more chances!
It will only disappear when we learn how to use them efficiently!

The other issue we have, is a decent replacement to Diego. DP has been injured, we will see what Camo cant do today.
But our best long term bet, is Giovinco,
Giovinco needs more playing time and experience for such an important role, because individual efforts/brilliance is not enough!
But he is young and versatile and he can learn how to be tactically efficient in that position.
Patient and time are on his side and thats precisely what we need from a sub!

Cassano has never learned to obey any tactical schemes
, thats why he cant be a part of a serious team! And he wont bother learning one now!
He is a raw talent indeed, but not meant to teams of the highest competition!
There is a reason why the coaches in Real and NT didnt use him.
He is a great tool, but very hard to use! And its too late to fix him now!
Or create a team upon him, on this level...

Cassano will offer what he wants, when and how he wants!
At his age, he will only create bad conflicts with Diego (if we use him as AMF) and Amauri (if we use him as SS) ! Giovinco is in the perfect age to be a competent replacement for Diego.
Whilst Giovinco is still young, he loves Juve and knows what sacrifices he has to make.

Sometime in the future Ciro might try him in a SS role or find a new place in a 4-2-3-1
Cassano needs changes here and now and he will create a lot of compatibility and competition issues.

With DP and Treze out of the picture we have (starter) Amauri and (sub) Iaq as the die hard creative forwards, who can do it all, but dont excel at finishing.
Amauri MUST be our starter and Iaq is fine with his sub status, esp if he grows a bit older...

We have (starter) Diego and Giovinco (sub) to give us the spark in the midfield and create chances for our two forwards.

And now for the other forward place, i would like to see a starter goal-scorer,
someone who will score like 20-25goals/season, from the chances Amauri/Iaq and Diego/Giovinco will create for him. And his sub would either be a youngster
(Lanza/Palla back? ) or one of those two subs (aging Iaq/ rising Giovinco)

A balanced team, with clear roles! What would Cassano offer to that team??
The Cassano-Amauri twin wont be any more prolific than the Amauri-Iaq is, actually it will be even less prolific than that, since Iaq>finisher than Cassano!!
It will also be counter productive to Diego's skills, as the more Cassano and Amauri will be dribbling around, the less influental, Diego will be...

If we use him as AMF, that would be even worse, as we should better use Cassano now, at the zenith of his carrier (age wise)
Having to choose one between him and Diego is very counter-productive!
Wy not keep the five year younger Giovinco instead and watch him raise and rising and get more playing time, as he becomes better and Diego is growing older??

There are no tactical benefits to get Cassano here and now, as we will be stack with either two non-prolific options upfront, or we have to sacrifice one between Cassano and Diego, if we take another Finisher, to replace Treze!

Considering the current balance and Giovinco's age, there are no strategical, long term advantages either! So why bother??

People's expectations for Giovinco are simply way too high. He's doing fine, but just because he doesn't come off the bench and tear up defenses people act like he's of no use. He adds a dimension that our team can benefit from.

I'll give up on him after a season and a half or so. Platini had an awful 6 months at Juve himself. Del Piero has had more than two mediocre games in a row, so has everyone else on the team.

Cronios, I don't really know why are you trying to make this more complicated than it should be.

Cassano has never learned to obey any tactical schemes

Just how did you conclude that?

You all say he needs more time, he needs more time...he needs more time and experience. How many years will that take? I know you're Juventini but he's 22 and there shouldn't be many excuses when it comes down to this. Either he can do it or he can't. There's obviously something wrong with him, with all the confidence he lacks and his average matches. Time...he didn't come here this summer you know...

Why bother? To get unstoppable attack like

Diego-Cassano

I really wish people would stop rating Eboué.

-Cassano hates Juve, whilst Giovinco loves Juve. This has far too many implications to mention. (devotion in time, interaction with players, coaches, etc and motivation for the team's win)
Loads of players aren't fans of Juventus. I've never seen him say hate though, but if he plays for rivals why should he like us? He doesn't support Sampdoria as far as I know, but he still turns up 2 weeks early for pre season training. Why would he have problems in interacting if he has played alongside players like Del Piero, Buffon, Cannavaro etc before. They don't seem remotely hostile.

And he definitely is a player with passion, so motivation should be no problem at all. Don't even understand this lack of motivation after all the things he has done over the last 2 years, have you seen him play?

We're not a team full of players like Diouf or Barton like it appears to be in your posts.

when i read about how great giovinco was against chelsea and how he owned everybody i did download the second half of the match to see the great things giovinco did ... after the second half finished i seriously asked "this was it ?" ...
I totally agree with this, not a good example of "tearing defenses apart". And I too hope he becomes brilliant.

:shifty: Well the problems that he had during he's Roma days (which forced them to sell him) plus he's shity attitude during he's time in madrid.

Lippi don't want him in the NT even though italy are in desperate need for someone like him. Isn't that enough really ?
So you only mentioned about his roma days and madrid days.Did you heard about Cassano's bad attitude these days?I haven't.

Since 2 years(I'm not sure but...) have passed he joined samp. And he is not showimg any mental probelms.

http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/SerieA/Sampdoria/02-07-2009/nuovo-cassano-50659098248.shtml

This is the news about cassano that he joined samp's free season camp 1 weeks earlier than others. Why such a mental-problem guy can be in free season camp so early?

Cassano is not as same as Roma,Madrid days.

I rate Cassano highly, but Cronios makes a lot of sense. Diego will be the axis of the team for years to come and i'm not sure Cassano, how good he is, complements him very well. Same case could be made for Giovinco though, even though I think Giovinco can be molded into someone that attacks open spaces more.

It's funny looking at the dis-info in here. OK, so Giovinco wasn't a world beater against Chelsea (which is pretty ridiculous because he was one of our better players), but he still did well taking on players such as Bosingwa and Ballack, two guys that are much stronger and taller than little Joey. Basically, for one day, all the views that Giovinco is too small to become a good player were debunked.

If he did that once, he can do it again.

And regarding Cassano, I don't really like him even though I admit he's incredibly skillful. But if I were to choose some prick similar to him I'd go for someone world class, like Ronaldo.
