Azzurrini ready for Lippi
Sunday 28 June, 2009
Italy Under-21 boss Pierluigi Casiraghi believes several of his players are ready for La Nazionale.

The former Chelsea man has been in charge of the Under-21 side for two years and is yet to digest their unlucky semi-final exit to Germany.

“We played good football but lost the most important game,” claimed Casiraghi.

“Several players from this squad are ready to go to Marcello Lippi and the full national side in September. And if they don’t called straight away surely they will in a couple of years.

“Players such as Marco Motta, Mario Balotelli, Claudio Marchisio and Domenico Criscito are good enough to make it – but we all already know their names,” concluded Casiraghi.

Lippi will no doubt listen to his colleague and the Azzurri boss is already considering several Azzurrini for the 2010 World Cup.

So we let Criscito slip away. And why the hell did he not mention Giovinco as one that is ready for the senior squad? He says a hot head arrogant asshole like Balotelli is ready, but not the player that most contributed to the tournament? Fuck that

I think Giovinco should play for another club team and say screw Italy. I'd love to see him go to Spain, become Spanish, and then rape Italian assholes all day long.

Screw you motherfuckers.

I just don't understand it. What more does this boy have to do to get some much needed and deserved recognition? Does anyone remember Pistol Pete from the Boston Celtics? Sorta reminds me of him: small, talented and just underrated. Deserves more IMO, Ferrara better get his head out of his ass and play him this year. Shit we could sell him for what 15-18m I'd bet. If we aren't going to use him, then fucking sell him and use that money to rejuvenate the defense or buy a new midfielder that we will use.

Juve will use him. Ciro is coach now and wont be stupid like Ranieri. I think Giovinco will be an important player next season and we should wait until the season starts to comment on his playing time.

it is not cuz Giovinco is not talented enough or anything it is because the players he named are starters at their clubs and last season Gio was not.

No need to go bonkers over Casiraghi's words,it doesn't even matter what he thinks.Lippi is the coach of the big boys.Casiraghi probably gets fired anyways.Peruzzi and Di Livio are rumored to take over the Azzurrini.
