If i remember correctly, it was very good link up play with Alex in that goal. Ranieri should try to field Del Piero and Gio at the same time.

Thats the problem I see in the last games Gio was playing. He had no one he can link with. I think Alex and Gio can play perfekt together because they are both technical brilliant and have a similar way to play. So they know where the other one will move and what he is going to do with the ball. But it´s not only Alex he could link up with. He realy needs someone around him who´s smart and technical.

Gio is lost in the left midfield. In my oppinion he needs the attackers infront of him and the midfield behind him. Yesterday you see he is trying to defend and also push forward but you just have to put your hand out and he will fall. I´m even 5 cm smaller then he is and thats so damn hard to play when you just get the ball somewhere in the middle and no one is there to help and cooperate with you. Now try to find the two attackers who are just hanging out around the penalty area and enemies defenders and midfielders are allready comming from everywhere and your team is just watching you and expect that you will do some magic and save their ass.:frown:
