I think all of you are missing the point here. Giovinco has played less than 5 games for Juve, as far as Juve is concerned, he has yet to offer anything despite the fact that we know he could potentially offer so much.
He needs to prove himself to Juve and he has to do so through the pitch, if he wants a raise, then he has to earn it just like everyone else. Moreover, the kid needs to stay level-headed. We don't want any Ronaldo-like mentalities here. If he loves the club, he won't mind a low salary for a year.
I don't have objections with what the board is doing. I think it's reasonable and fair. Giovinco will one day be paid a lot more, that is however, if he proves he's worth it.
