First that miniature monkey went for Chiellini's ankle and then Cambiz with an absolute fcked challenge that had nothing but to seriously injure Gio in process.

This is fcked man. can not fully enjoy this win.

Yes, but remember this is the FIGC. Krasic got what, 4 for diving? Eto'o got 3 for headbutting someone in the chest. Chivu got 4 for punching someone in the face.

Disgusting behaviour by Cambiasso. He wasn't trying to do anything other than hurt his opponent there. He should get a long ban.

Hope Giovinco is alright. It's a good sign that he walked away from it. He did well in the few minutes he got today.

Can't see how he can. Doesn't he get three games anyway? 4 games wouldn't surprise me, even if he should be put out for the season for such a deliberate and mindless assault.
Think it's only it England that you get the automatic three game ban for a straight red.

In Italy, only one match is automatic and can be extended.

It was a bad tackle, but I'm not convinced of just how malicious it was.

I'd ban him for three games.

Conte did a wise thing escorting Cambiasso to the tunnel. Could've led to more cards on our end. Given t hat we are going to be missing Barzagli and Chiellini against Pescara. That's pretty freaky.

And I pray to god Gio is fine.

Things can look very bad when you have a very slow player like Cambiasso going in on a very sharp player like Giovinco - but that doesn't mean the intent was there to really hurt the opponent.

Cambiasso also isn't a player, to my mind, who has a track record of putting in nasty tackles or trying to injure people.

Frankly, I was more bothered by Gargano's foul on Chiellini. I thought it had the look of having a real premeditated intention to try and give Chiellini a whack on his dodgy ankle(s).

The topic should be wether or not to ban him for the season for this insanely brutal assault, and you arent convinced of how malicious it was? :disagree:
