The problem with him now is that when he comes on as a sub he is making no impact. He has to do that, his attributes suit stretching defences late on, but he just fucks everything up. His decision making is pretty poor, and he is panicking in situations.
He's getting progressively worse as well. Maybe something to do with him no longer being certain of a starting spot. He does look like the kind of player who can only deliver if he gets a lot of trust & a shitload of consistent game time.* Which are things he, imo, isn't good enough for to warrant in the first place.
Vicious circle.
* Not unlike what happened in his last season before Parma. At first, Ale was out & Gio was pretty decent. As soon as Del Piero regained fitness, and there was going to be competition, Gio panicked & his performances got progressively worse. (A trend that started back then with a home game against Udinese, iirc.)

It is obvious, he lacks confidence. Looks like someone who easily gets demoralized. Talent is still there altough he fucked up big time by retard technical staff of Juventus.(Secco, Ranieri, Marotta)
The time is now for Sebastian Giovinco. Next season he'll get fewer chances and if he still havent taken his chance by then it look like an exit by summer 2014/15 to me
At this pace, im pretty sure he will get another season because Conte respects him... but of next season he doesnt deliver, i think he will be forced out.
He is having a really bad patch right now.
