Firstly when Giovinco moved here he kept going on about how he liked to play closer as a forward rather than a trequartista type player because he likes to score goals. If anything he added the pressure onto himself along with the fact that he now plays for a big club, as i pointed out earlier he is nothing but a provincial player, if he really was as good as some thought he is then why does he rarely start for Italy? failing that even make an impact for the NT, i mean when you have diamanti and a half fit cassano chosen ahead of giovinco he is clearly not all that he is cracked up to be.
The goal-scoring idea was planted prior to this season.

Also, why I really liked him as Vice-Nedved. He had the abilities suitable to be an attacking midfielder.
Nedved got chances to play as an attacking midfielder because his defensive work rate and ability were pretty much as good as his attacking attributes. At a club like Juve you can't really field an attacking midfielder who cannot solidly perform defensive duties and that's why Gio has not/would never be given a chance in that role.
