Not spot on. The same mistakes will keep reoccurring, so moving on is not an option. This sort of nonsense should be highlighted as it is an issue that will be a perpetual talking point.
And this is where I agree.

We wasted 12m on Martinez, 24m on Diego, millions wasted on keeping Iaquinta and paying for Luca Toni.

22.5m wasted on Amauri. How muhc on Quag?

Any numbers gurus here please add up all transfer fees and wages spent on these kinds of players.

AND we spent 9m bring our own player back for JUST HALF HIS OWNERSHIP.

Of course this will continue to be a talking point because it fucking needs to be discussed. All the troubles and waste I listed above and could have been avoided. And that would have been more than enough saved for your "top player" everyone is complaining about.

Sure.

Point still stands. Giovinco was mistreated and never given a chance. No coincidence Conte wanted him last year as well.

That's an awful lot to discuss in a thread for some lad who couldn't quite get in our team.
Can anyone honestly say that he couldn't have gotten a spot against Diego, Amauri, Martinez, Estigarribia, Iaquinta or Luca Toni?

There is a reason why none of those coaches are here.

Results.

The only players he matches directly up against there are Martinez and possibly Diego, although Giovinco had shown that trequartista is not really his position. He needs to play LWF or SS.

He would not have gotten the time & space to become as good as he is today.
You can't possibly know that.

Despite being an SS he would have been more deadly than our other flops. That's part of my point.

Glad we've established that these opinions are based on guesswork.

I can only judge from what I saw in his first spell here. For me he clearly got better in Parma with games, as you'd expect.

His first stint was playing behind nedved or del piero. lol what do you expect from him? He did rather well when called upon, rarely made serious mistakes if any at all. The kid has always had talent, our club just refused to harness it.
