About 2 years ago..i watched a Falkirk game..i believe it was against Rangers..and the style of their football really surprised me..they were rather entertaining..they had a midfielder called Moutinho..and a trindadian(sp?) player that looked like Drenthe..and another Portuguese striker.

He is certainly popular at Falkirk.

I've never rated him that highly. He is very good technically and is an intelligent player, however he lacks pace (especially nowadays) and struggles if he is closed down properly.

Now I've said that he'll probably star in the next couple of games as it is Falkirk v Aberdeen in the league, then the cup, the next two Saturdays.

Falkirk and Hibs are the sides that play the best football in the league. The media love both sides and it really annoys them that Aberdeen keep beating them despite us playing shit football.

Your Drenthe lookalike is Latapy.

lol, yeah well the drenthe look-alike is latapy.

well, he's 38 (or 39) now, and he still smokes 40 cigarettes a day, i don't know how he does it. anyway, he's a player-manager for them now, and i think he might return home to coach one day.

anyway, he's a legend and fan-favourite in T&T, and except for yorke, he's the only trinidadian to play for a top team in europe. he played for porto the for a couple years and was there up until the season before they won the CL.

pedro moutinho is a cracking wee player on form but is way too inconsistent to be seriously looked at by top clubs

hey andy mate what you make of the exodus of players aberdeen are gonna have to suffer? on one hand i feel for you, hearts have been there before.players making their names at the club only to bugger off when clubs with more money flashed their knickers at them scott severin was a prime example(though he claimed he was gonna try england and pitched up at pittodrie)

yet on the other hand, aberdeen had,for many years, more financial clout of any team outwith the old firm and tempted many players north from clubs who could not compete(severin) so i suppose its swings and roundabouts

michael hart is probably the best of the "rebels" to jump ship and replacing him will be the hardest, clarke is decent but diamond has not progressed as expected. looks like you will also lose lee miller(the great enigma) and steve lovell(the great cunt) so it is a massive rebuilding job.

jimmy "tangoman" calderwood as usual is mumping his gums and talking about how it is always about jimmy calderwood(the twat actually used the 3rd person to talk about himself) so it looks as though he will walk away also.

along with hibs and hearts it seems your team are ina bit of a crisis, losing calderwod would not be such a hard but losing so many first teamers must surely enrage you

    Clark- will not be missed.

Hart-good player but RB isn't a key position so I'm not that bothered.

Nicholson-Decent player but disappears from games too often. (Was rumoured to be joining Hearts earlier in the week but that seems to have gone quiet.)

Diamond-Has been our best player this season, has begun to step up from the raw kid of a couple of years back. Still replaceable.

Calderwood-Can GTF as far as I'm concerned.

Lovell and Miller have not been offered deals yet. I suspect Miler will reject a new deal and I don't know if Lovell will be offered one.

Worst case scenario is that we have one season of transition to re build. The club should have some funds available given that we are making over £1m from the Bayern tie alone.

thought so about nicholson and calderwood but surprised you feel that way abut clarke and in-particular hart. for me hart is a cracking player, very underrated and would be an excellent signing(yes i want hearts to go in for him, you can have nielson, no honestly take him....please)

but do you honestly think the 1 million fro that game will eb enough to re-build the team?especially since funds are already limited

    Clark is chicken.

Hart is a very good player and ideally I would keep him. The thing is that I just don't see full back as an important enough position to break the bank for.

Diamond has just signed a new 3 year deal.

We have over £1m from Bayern and Calderwood has already been promised an extra £1.4 over the next couple of years. It also look like we are going to get £400,000 now from Plymouth for Hart and Clark, so the figure would be nearer £2m.

Next season I would happily have

    Langfield

    Foster Diamond Considine Byrne

    De Visscher Touzani Severin Smith

    Mackie Striker

This is a team based on Clark, Hart, Nicholson, Lovell and Miller leaving. We would only need a striker and maybe a winger for the first XI and a few back ups.

Rangers striker Daniel Cousin travels to London for a medical after Fulham and the Ibrox club agree a £3m fee.......... this is very good news......... glad to see the back of him and he only cost us £750,000 when he joined last summer from Lens.

Rangers must keep winning and hope that with celtic playing 3 away games in a row at falkirk, motherwell and aberdeen that they drop points and we beat St mirren and falkirk at home which we must if we are serious about taking the spl trophy
