Aye, apparently there was a good article in the Red Final for the Utd game about the Hearts dead.

Interesting that your dead are commemorated while the same fanzine celebrated Davie Coopers death.
 aye was aparantly a good article and i hope that the travelling support show the appropriate respect on what i am sure will be an emotional day. if you have not read Mcrae's battalion i suggest you look out for it is a great book, even if you are not a fan of the teams that are mentioned

    Indeed.

Though certainly in the first half the goals were down to Aberdeen rather than Hearts.

    Pathetic mistakes.

If I was an Old Firm fan I would say it was a european hangover that caused us to give you the ball in our penalty area or that causes our keeper to be shorter when he jumps than when he doesn't.

credit where it is due, not many teams score 4 against aberdeen nowadays but you were the architechts of your own downfall with some god-awful defending in the first half. if zander diamond concentrated more on the ball than on getting "in the face" of the opposition then you could have a decent layer on your hands, he is the weak link for me, excellent on his day, its just not been his day more often than not.

hearts were fired up though with the rememberance day ceremony beforehand and the special strips i feel the players knew they could not let the fans down.

Zander has been great this season, but he is still pretty raw.

I haven't seen the 3rd and 4th goals because I stopped watching at half time. I could see this coming and had no desire to watch it.

I suspect he will end up staying, not that I'm that bothered either way.

I couldn't stand watching Levein football every week, Calderwood is bad enough. Levein played Wilkie CF for United for most of the 2nd half when we played them FFS.

I would be inclined to poach McGee from Motherwell. Former Don, decent track record, has made a good start at Motherwell and has them playing attractive football.

levein's teams dont play pretty football but by god its effective, he is a tremendous coach who gets everything from every player and though it aint pleasing on the eye he is a banker for success.

as for mcghee i do not think you would get him, he has ambarked ona project and motherwell would be looking for LOTS of compo for his services. its a non-starter i am afraid

You may well be right about McGee, but I think he signed a 2 year deal with Motherwell so there are limits to what they can ask for if he only has one year left on his deal. Of course, there is no guarantee he would want to come back North.

On Levein, you can't argue with his record in the SPL. I think he may well be the next Scotland boss when McLeish heads for the Premiership. And Utd would want at least as much compensation for him as Motherwell would want, and Levein is less likely to want to join us.

oh for sure, was simply pointing out that calderwood is in a strong position as there are no real outstanding canidates for the job. levein is too young for teh scotland job but is certainly a future scotland manager IMO

You guys need to get a shift on if you are going to compete for 3rd this season.

Thats terrible Aberdeen 2 points behind the team that plays the best football since Brazil circa 1970.

so i have taken to watching hearts play through gaps in my fingers, the horror show that is our play this season is just getting worse. all areas of play on the pitch need a massive improvement and we need it quick. its no use saying we have the players, that is not questionable, however these players attitudes are awful.
we need a new goalie, that is a given but Tall be leaving so we ened at least one new CB, a new RB(sorry Robbie heart and effort do not make up for your inablity to pass the ball 3 yards) a new RM and a new CF.
bednar is away and scoring goals for fun, showing what we all knew he had but he does not want to come back(who can blame him?)

all in all these players are the ones i want to see shown the door-
Basso,Kurskis,Nielson,Goncalves,Zaliukas,Mikoliunas,Ivaskevicous,Pinilla,Nade,Elliot,Makela(why keep him if we refuse to play him)

bring back Bednar(though he wont come) and Beslijia. bring in Hleb(not that one, his bro) buy new Wb or start playing the youngsters.

most of all though can we please sack Korobochka and his team, bring in a MANAGER and let him do his job, pick the team and live or die by his own decisions.
