By the Kingston inident do you mean when he almost took Nicholsons head off, got sent off and then accused the ref of being racist(the refs wife was black:D)? I thought that inident was dealt with properly, if too slowly whih meant his ban was delayed til this season.

Makes a change from the year you finished 2nd where you got a ludicrous number a penalties.
i mean since that kingston incident he has gotten no decisions at all in any game. even when he has been fouled badly, it seems he is paying the price of moko's dive...........along with the rest of the team

us?loads of penalties?you must be confusing us with rangers or celtic:sick:

Not so much the last couple of seasons but you got a heap in the season you finished 2nd.

And refs will inevitably be careful when refereeing sides with a reputation for diving. I do think Hearts are bad for diving, but not as bad as the media makes out.

guess we will have to meet at hampden instead bruv! good luck against gers mate would actually mean something to either of us as i fear we both have a long season ahead, a cup win could really make a season for either of us.

that said i was mighty proud of my boys last night, a great performance i just wish we could do it more consistenly. before the nightmare of teh last 2 league games we had won 6 out of 7 games but for some reason the performances crash every few weeks. god only knows why! if we can perform consistenly i know we are one of teh best teams in teh league but these lapses are proving costly.

you going to the game at tynie?sure i am off that day if you wanna grab a beer

Ah the good old SFL.

Fancy your chances against the dirty bastards?

Can't make it to Tynecastle cos I'm working. Hearts will win that game cos we'll be fucked after playing Moscow.

What can you say about the CIS cup draw? it just sums up the intelligence of our scottish parliament where they cannot match up what numbered ball goes with with which team!

    so its now:

Aberdeen vs Dundee Utd. (at Tynecastle or Easter Road)
    Rangers vs Hearts (at Hampden)

No because it would have come out sooner or later and there would have been a big deal made of it.

As much of a tit as the guy is for fucking up, at least he had the guts to come clen and give Aberdeen an easier draw.

    Cheers.

Best home game of the season by a mile. All done with just 4 first choice players starting due to an injury crisis.

HEARTS players will wear a commemorative strip in honour of the club's war dead against Aberdeen this Sunday.

The special shirt will bear on its sleeve the names of the seven players who fell during the First World War and will also have an embroidered poppy on its front.

The Gorgie side were the first football club in Britain to enlist for action in November 1914 and were part of the 16th Royal Scots, which became know as "McCrae's Battalion".

TRIBUTE: The Hearts team will attend the club's traditional Remembrance Day service at Haymarket on Sunday
Like George Burley's side two years ago, the side had won its opening eight league fixtures and was tipped to win the league before making the "ultimate sacrifice".

A total of seven players – John Allan, James Boyd, Duncan Currie, Ernest Ellis, Thomas Gracie, James Speedie and Harry Wattie – lost their lives.

The present-day players will all attend the club's Remembrance Day service at Haymarket on Sunday morning prior to the afternoon's match with the Dons.

A Hearts spokesman said: "The 11th of November is a poignant day for many people around the world and it also holds a special place in the hearts of our own supporters.

"We are hugely appreciative of the sacrifice made by our players, shareholders and fans in the war and we felt that this was one small way we could ensure that their names are remembered.

"At that time in November 1914 many people believed that the team was the best ever to wear maroon having won their first eight league games to take a significant lead at the top of the table.

"There can be little doubt that not only in results but in sheer spirit and worth they were the best."

McCrae's Battalion were in the thick of the Battle of the Somme which saw 20,000 troops killed on its first day.

In spite of the dreadful losses, the battalion was credited with achieving the most advanced penetration of the enemy line anywhere on the front that day.

After Sunday's match, the strips will be washed and framed before being auctioned at various events with all proceeds going to the McCrae's Battalion Trust. The strip will not be on general sale.

Aye, apparently there was a good article in the Red Final for the Utd game about the Hearts dead.

Interesting that your dead are commemorated while the same fanzine celebrated Davie Coopers death.
