Celtic are pretty well covered for attacking midfielders and ball players, so presumably he is being bought to play deep.

Then again, there may be no logic behind the signing at all because Celtic's signings don't seem to fit any plan.

Looked okay at Motherwell last season.

Decent strength and pace, okay touch, and scored some goals.

Not a bad signing for you guys, I would say.


With the right coaching, he could be a very good Championship level striker.

It's not like he's a horror show in a deep lying midfield position but he's much better in an advanced role. But I certainly won't rule him maturing in that position, I think he's got what it takes to do well in Celtic and I'll certainly keep an eye on them from now on

Apparently they want the South African centre back Khumalo and his striker compatriot Mphela, but £1.5m each might be too much, that's how bad things are.

I've seen that rumour.

The huns are officially ~£30m in debt (rumours suggest the debt is much higher), so they can't do anything.

Aberdeen have announced plans for a new training facility today, which is linked to Cove building a new ground.

New training facility will be financed by free loans to the club by Stewart Milne and Bert MacIntosh (the guy behind MacIntosh Plant Hire).

It's about time AFC got their own training ground and moved into the 21st century.

By my reckoning, of Aberdeen's ten red cards last season, four were in no way worthy of a red card, two were debatable and four were correct decisions.

So that would probably equate to two red cards for Rangers or Celtic.

I wonder why they've never had discipline problems?

Probably because they are top of the league and so commit far less fouls as they are the team usually on the attack.

But I agree some of the refereeing in Scotland is awful.

when you take into account Zaliukas getting red carded for being on the end of an attempted headbutt from Lee Miller,Kingstons red card for having his foot as high as young Pawlett(think it was him) Mikey Stewarts incredible red card against hamilton and also the otehr attrocious decision we received in taht game BEFORE the tunnel incident....all these have been looked at and unbelievably upheld,what chance have you got when the SFA fine you for the amount of red cards you get yet refuse to overturn decisions that every man and his guide dog could tell you was not justified
