No-one I played with or against made it to the first team.

I think the guy playing at the highest level who I played with is Paul Coutts, who plays for Peterborough United in the English Championship.

He was a skillful wee fucker, so I just kicked him.

Last time I saw him, I utterly destroyed him in a round of golf.

Oh, and that guy Jack Grimmer scored in Scotland 16s 2-1 loss to England U16s.

For the 60 minutes or so he played before going off injured, he was comfortably the best player on the pitch.
There was one guy I grew up with. We were both from this small town, we are same generation, and then we both went to high school in a bigger town close to our town. I played hundreds of matches with him and 13 years ago we had a big fight and we never talked to each other again.

Now i'm stuck talking to you guys in this forum, and he's playing for Zenit Saint Petersburg and won the UEFA with them. While I was cheering for Juve the dumb motherfucker (well, he's dumb, he always was) played against Juve.
He even made it to the NT :wallbang:

That guy has my never ending gratitude for beating Rangers in that UEFA Cup final. :D

Was he significantly better than everyone else when you were playing with him?

Yes, Krizanac.

Not at all. Stronger yes, but technically half the guys, maybe more, were better than him.
But Dalmatia has too much talent anyway. We're talking some 700 000 people and hundreds of famous sportists in every sport. In our current football team, Modric and Srna are Dalmatians from the more famous players. Previously Boksic, Tudor, Boban, Asanovic, Bilic, Stimac and many more footballers. Ivanisevic in tennis, 90% of the basketball, handball and waterpolo teams that won gold or silver medals at world cups or olympics. Blanka Vlasic in athletics (currently the best in high jump). Thousands of famous sportists in every sport.
Without us, Croatia will be at the same level, as a sport nation, as Azerbaijan (sorry and fuck you Vlatko and Barkus :D )

Thats largely been the story of St. Johnstone's season too.

When I watched the highlights I could not believe the first half, Hearts were all over the Saints and had some great chances and looked to have pinned them back. I was thinking how did they not win this!?

Second half looked to be the complete opposite where St. Johnstone had all the chances.

But all that I got to see was from BBC's highlights which aren't great!
we really should have put you guys to the sword but fair play to you, when you got the chances, you scored and that is how you win a football match

Makes a nice change for them to take some chances.

I don't understand Hearts this season, good team, players like Driver and Wallace progressing nicely from what I have seen and yet you guys struggle so much.

Hearts v St Johnstone sounds very like Aberdeen v St Johnstone.

We should have been out of sight, but they came back into it strongly in the second half.

We, unlike Hearts, had a full quota of players still on the park, so we were able to grind out the win in the end.

Driver has not been fit yet thsi season,Wallace is quality though as is young craig thomson, there are several quality youngsters coming through but the experienced players are letting them down.

that said though if we had signed Kyle from Killie i fully expect we would be about 10 points better off

Didn't watch the game actually. Not too fond of the SPL, but found it on TV in the last minutes and saw that Aberdeen were winning so i got a little interested. David Weir almost caught your boys of guard in the final minutes there Andy.

Cheers, gents.

They've only won once in nine games up here now.

Heroic display from the players today.

We were missing our only three natural CBs today, so had two fullbacks playing in there. We also missed two of our three first choice cental midfielders.

Add to that an outrageous refereeing display, including sending off our captain, so we only had 'keeper and centre forward of the first choice spine of the team, and the cunts still couldn't score against us.

Once we were down to ten men, Fred, shots from distance were the least of our concerns.

Due to the sheer level of adversity we overcame, that may be my favourite win over the Forces of Darkness.

Ta.

Curr, do you know anything about (former?) Derry City player Ruaidhri Higgins?

Seems he is on trial with us at the moment.

Yes. All Derry players are now formers Derry players. The club got themselves into a spot of bother.

Higgins is a pretty good centre mid. He's good on the ball, good vision and passing. I don't think he really scores or tackles much though.
