Barcelona have confirmed they could loan out Javier Saviola – news that is of great interest to the Bianconeri – and loan Oscar Lopez to Lazio.
The talented Argentine is no longer needed at the Nou Camp following the summer arrival of Ludovic Giuly, Deco, Henrik Larsson and Samuel Eto’o.
A 23-year-old creative midfielder who can support the strikers or play on either side of midfield, Saviola would provide the kind of spark that is so sorely lacking in the Juve line-up so far this season.
“While we will definitely not be buying any more players,” Barcelona vice-President Sandro Rossell told a news agency, “there could be a few on their way out. It would nonetheless be a temporary deal that sees them return to the club in the future.”
To have him at such a cut-price loan deal would make it a smart move for the Turin giants, although they already face competition from Didier Deschamps’ Monaco.
