I think that is what it was designed for mostly, truth be told. Now and then a mainstay or wonderkid will come through, but 95% of players are just investments. Chelsea do this but with a first team squad of 50 players and 40m purchases.

What bothers me is that we're happy with the fee because it looks OK on the balance sheet, as we only paid a nominal fee for him, rather than trying to get the best fee for him.
What bothers me is that we have no problem spending more money on players who aren't reinforcements. Most recently, we just sign more expensive but inferior players than the ones we had to begin with.
I know, accounting tricks & it looks good in the short term, but it's an absolutely retarded long term strategy. This club would spend €100 million next season, just to save €1 million today.

About 75% of our squad, if I'm being generous, are now players that would have been sold asap (for the lowest possible figures) if they had come through the ranks at Juve. (And, of course, some of the expected reinforcements haven't turned out great either.)

Mbangula is a young player on low wages that has some upside. We could have used him as a rotational player for another year and then sold him for more if we wanted to. I really don't get the logic. We are too eager to get a plusvulenza from this guy. If you really want Sancho, then fund it through Nico.

Je was rotational, yet imapctful player, played solid amount of games in Serie A, and we’re giving him for peanuts. If he was at Bologna, we would be paying them 30 mil to get him.
Under Motta. The problem is Tudor here. Totally cut off the momentum of Sammiboy.

I still hope there’s at least some sort of future sell % included in this deal for it to make sense, but i ain’t seeing it being reported anywhere, making it even the more baffling.

Samuel #Mbangula to Gazzetta:

THE ADVICE OF #YILDIZ ON GERMANY
"He didn't give me any advice on this, but we are very close friends.
Everyone one knows #Yildiz as a football player and he will be the extra man at #Juventus, he's really strong.
However, Kenan is also a champion off the pitch: he always gives advice and spreads good humor.
#Rouhi and him gave me a special gift on my birthday, something between us.
Kenan is very strong, I wish him to stay at #Juve for a long time.
He is fantastic at dribbling and shooting, he will become a leader"

#JUVENTUS
"Of course I miss #Juventus and Turin, but now I've turned the page.
I would have stayed, but this is football, the club gave me a clear speech telling me that they needed to sell to generate funds"

FROM PREMIER LEAGUE TO BUNDESLIGA
"#Nottingham had an agreement with #Juve, but not with me during the Club World Cup.
In the end, I'm happy to be in Germany because it is a league that launches many young players.
Would I one day go back to Juventus? Why not"

#THIAGOMOTTA
"I will always have an affection for him.
He changed my life and my career.
I don't have his phone number, and so I haven't spoken to him for months, but he will become a great coach.
He was not given enough time at #Juventus and the injuries had a big impact"

#TUDOR
"During the World Cup, I spoke with him and I told him that I would play as an attacking midfielder, a fullback or even a central midfielder in his 3-4-2-1.
He was very sincere with me and told me that he didn't see me in his system. I wasn't part of his plans"

#HUIJSEN
"Surprised about #Huijsen? Not at all.
I played with him, we knew how strong he is, but he was really attached to #Juve"

#JUVENTUS FOR THE SCUDETTO
"Yes. I'm very optimistic.
Last year the injuries had a big impact, mainly the ones of #Bremer and #Cabal.
A revelation player? #Yildiz is already a certainty, #Bremer as well.
I'm betting on #Koopmeiners"

Shame, I liked him and wanted to see more to let him grow.

This one is on Motta imo. We needed to sell somebody but if he'd had a Yildiz season it wouldn't have been him. Motta didn't give him enough opportunity to have that kind of impact and I think he'll really shine elsewhere.

Motta was the one who started using him last season. Not his fault.

This is all on Tutor and his rigid system.
