Are we talking about same Kante, Chelsea player with very poor technique? I feel Chiellini has more accurate pass. One dimensional player if I have ever seen any. :)

Poor technique? That just isn't true.

One dimensional? If by that you mean he's a specialist, then yes. His role as a ball winner is one not commonly found at the top level nowadays because those players are normally weak in other areas like ball control and passing. But because Kante isn't weak in those areas (in fact, he can pass really well when he's ready), and is one of the best ball winners around, he is one of the most coveted midfielders in Europe.

He'd be the perfect partner to Pjanic imo, and the comparison with Chiellini is laughable.
Lol Chiellini, Id think u know me better by now, hehe :p

In today's game if a player, midfielder, isnt capable of playing in both phases of the game, his team is effectively playing with a man down. Even defender with lousy technique is very limiting for his teammates. Kudos to his ball winning skills, but his technique is really poor and thats a deal breaker for me. Against big teams there will be a lot of times 10 players behind the ball and you need everyone to be capable of making contribution when in possession, which is often.kante is more fitting for lesser, park the bus, sides. Imo

Kante isnt good tbh. wouldnt want that type of player here. Khedira has more facets to his game, which is telling.
Kante is no worse than Khedira at passing, and he's a million miles ahead of Khedira at ball-winning and pressing. Kante is overall a vastly superior player to Khedira.

Against big teams like Real Madrid or Barcelona, the game is played at a very high speed. Khedira regularly looks out of his depth in high intensity games. We need a player like Kante who can win ball possession back.

Let's not forget that Real Madrid have won the last 3 Champions Leagues playing with Casemiro, another player who is nothing special on the ball, but a beast off the ball.

France are insanely good knowing that they ran the midfield with Kante(man down) and Matuidi(basically a man down) Its funny talking to people that think every player has to be really well rounded and not be great at anything. Kante is an absolute best and gives his team offensive chances by winning the ball all around the field and starting counters.

Has 6m been verified yet?

Knowing Beppe, he'll sell Pjanič to buy Chiesa and sign Dembele on a free transfer, his transfer limit for CMs is 30m, can't go above that
There's no room for an additional winger. If Chiesa comes, Berna will have been sold.

He doesn't have poor technique...

Something tells me in all these years you only saw Kante play in the WC final where he was ill.

Cuadrado is more likely to get sold. Berna can play in midfield.
Cuadrado is being used as a RB too now.

Berna isn't going to be the 6th choice attacker.

We don't know yet if he can play in midfield or not.

IMO the second most valuable CM in the world after Modric

Yeah thats the thing, we see football and games differently, which is normal. Players like Kante you may find in abundance in every generation. I prefer those more well rounded and midfielders with finesse. As Ive said above all that is fine if your team relies on counters but in possession based side, he would be a waste.

I disagree. In those kind of games we need midfielders capable of dealing with pressure and getting out of tight spots without losing possession or panickingly looking around for someone else to transfer over responsibility. You may argue if Khedira is that sort of midfielder but Kante definitely doesnt fit the bill.

What about when a player is “playing” but he is “not playing” like brother Sami. He is there and only Allegri can notice his contribution.

Who are we kidding, Kante is twice the midfielder Khedira is.

We could have bought Naingolan and Vidal this season for about 50m and we would have a monster midfield for 2-3 years at least

Imagine this:
Woj
Cancelo-Bonucci-Chiellini-Alex Sandro
Vidal-Pjanic-Naingolan
Costa-Mandzukic-Ronaldo

Yes we totally could have bought Mongoloid, the guy we tried to sign for years but repeatedly rejected and publicly dissed us.

If only our management had thought of him, oh wait...

Vidal and Naingollan are both close to finished at top level. Vidal’s knees are giving up on him, he will be joining Marchisio at Zenit in no time. Naingollan is a smoker whose engine has already gone when you compare it to 2016.

Khedira is a beast

I just came to a realisation that he's probably one of the most decorated players atm. Won domestic titles in Germany, Spain and Italy.

1 x World Cup winner
1 x Champions League winner
1 x EURO U21 winner
1 x Spanish Champion
1 x Bundesliga Champion
3 x Italian Champion
3 x Coppa Italia

Of course he won all those titles because he was awesome. It had nothing to do with the fact that those were monster squads and Khedira just happened to be fortunate enough to be a part of those teams.
