Welcome Sami! Wow. Our midfield cup, it runneth over. Beppe, Beppe, Beppe... you and your Bosmans. He's got a gift!

I don't mind having Vidal/Pereyra as AMs if we get at least one good offensive fullback.

Otherwise yep it would suck.
Maybe not ideal, but... otherwise suck... like being 1 goal (and 23 minutes) away from a CL/treble win? :p

Pereyra is improving, and Vidal is finally fit, so in a sense, even by doing nothing we upgrade that AMC spot. Asa is back, Evra has another year on his deal, Caceres just renewed, Licht is under contract... At this point, I wouldn't bet on us going for another FB, when there are already quite a few options in the mix. A lot of versatility back there.

Wouldn't be surprised if we renewed Romulo's loan, though. He did flash a bit, and if he could stay healthy and enjoy a bit of continuity, we might get a bit of a surprise boost at that RB spot (for a more attacking option). If he didn't, he'd basically be the 3rd option, on a modest salary.

As X once said about this transfer, I am not a fan but I was proven wrong many times so I won't complain. Let's hope he does what he has to do and be part of a silverware winning team.
This is basically how I feel, as well. Not a huge fan to begin with, but I mostly didn't like the deal initially because of the salary involved, and worrying about being able to take care of the young guys who we want flexibility to offer improved contracts to as they develop. I don't want us to become a fake plastic team that just snaps up names, at the expense of the development of our current players, and locker room chemistry.

But he's quite a good player, and he's free, so I understand it's a good risk/reward opportunity for the club -- provided he stays healthy. This is basically the prime of his career, so if he's truly in good shape, this could be a pretty big move.

Dear Sami,In this crazy world we live in, someone you've never heard of or will probably never meet, feels, as a Juventus fan, that its ok to write to you on an internet page to say welcome. But here I am, and there you are, somewhere, preparing for the next season today. But I'm writing this with real meaning when I say welcome, because you are now at a club that is different, and a club where the fans genuinely care about their team. Now I'm quite sure every fan of any team would say that, but at Juventus, you're not just a player, you a Juventus player and that means you're part of our family. You are now one of us, and you are now family (you're welcome round for tea anytime mate).Welcome to a bond with a set of fans that will not just sing your name, but look out for you, welcome to a ground where the feeling is different, a sense of history, family and warmth, of times shared and where the outside world and press are invited in but never truly part of it, welcome to a place, a sense of place, a culture that sets us apart from the rest of them.I've read about your upbringing, it must be very odd to have your everyday shared with millions, your history available for analysis and comment by strangers, and then to be called 'crazy' by these people who haven't a clue. They are the crazy folk, they are the ones who think its ok to write about other people as if they are professional pyschologists, mind readers and judges of character. Not you.Well, welcome to a club that sets apart from that world. Juventus is a club that does it differently, where the emotions are heartfelt not invented, the flags are fabric not plastic and the noise deafeningly sincere.Juventus' great players have all been special, and different and gifted and marvellous to watch, and all of them acknowledge the club has a special place in their hearts. You are brilliant at your job, wonderful to watch, and you arriving here has made a lot of people excited. You have the gift of creating emotion in men's hearts, that's the real meaning of football, and I hope I speak for all Juventus fans when I say, have the best time of your life here, have a great career and score lots of goals sure, but really, truly, have a great life whilst at our club.In some ways, Sami, welcome home.
balo fan is that you :touched:

Yesterday was a great day! I am happy and excited to say that I will be playing for Juventus Turin for the next years!
With Juve everything seemed to fall in place. My discussions with the coach and the manager were great. The competitive future with the team. The great team itself and the unbelievable fans! A great club with a one of a kind tradition in a very special city!
I am totally looking forward to an exciting time in black and white! Forza Juve! Sami
