And I think that too was done only because he was free. Mutu is too good to be let go if hes available on a free. Easily one of Moggi's best deals to snap Mutu on a free and pay him 1m a season.

Very true, I guess a lot of teams stayed out because of the drug story

Inter Milan are lining up a move for Real Madrid fullback Michel Salgado in January.
With concerns over the long-term fitness of Javier Zanetti, Inter coach Roberto Mancini wants the Spain international when the winter market opens.

Salgado denied reports last week that he was moving to Juventus in midseason, however the Italian press are stating that his representatives have already agreed terms with Inter ahead of a switch.

Salgado once again proved how poor a rb he really is. About as much defensive talent as ferrara's little finger.

And don't forget that Birindelli will be back after the winter break, and that Pessotto can play there too. We are more then covered for right backs.

Real Madrid fullback Michel Salgado remains in Juventus sights.

It's emerged that Real offered Salgado to Juve on August 23 as they prepared to welcome Cicinho from Sao Paulo. But the Brazilian's failure to secure his Italian passport before the close of the summer market scuppered the deal.

Juve are maintaining contact with Real leading up to the January transfer window, with Cicinho due in Madrid over Christmas.

Juve director general is eyeing Salgado as injury concerns persist over Lilian Thuram, Gianluca Pessotto, Jonathan Zebina and Alessio Birindelli.
