Salgado is dead....he´s an almost former player, no space for him in Real. With Ramos and Diogo there, there´s no need to play him in CL. And after Cicinho arrives...bye bye

Real rubbish Salgado rumour Wednesday 7 September, 2005

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Real Madrid have dismissed reports that Michel Salgado is on his way to Juventus in January.

The defender was quoted as saying that he was happy to accept a loan move to Turin in the New Year.

But after Juventus denied the story yesterday, the Spanish outfit have also insisted that no such transfer will take place.

"Real Madrid and Michel Salgado deny that they have spoken about the move of this player to Juventus at the end of December," read a club statement.

"Despite the reports that have appeared in the English and Italian media, which include alleged declarations from the player about a loan move, we would like to make it clear that he made no such comments and the club is not considering loaning him to another team."

Ernesto Bronzetti, a FIFA football agent who works closely with the capital outfit, also rejected the speculation.

"Salgado will not join Juventus in January," he told Radio Incontro. "He is a 29-year-old and Real would never send him out on loan.

"If a move does happen then it will be discussed at the end of the season. He has a lot of requests in England."

Salgado was linked with an exit given Real’s capture of Brazilian international full-back Cicinho.

"He’ll arrive in January but he will need time to settle," added Bronzetti. "He is a young player and we need to see how he does in his first Spanish championship."

Salgado? why would we need an old, expensive spanish guy, while we could have a young, cheaper Italian?
