We can merge more threads here, all the ones where France is mentioned and we can make this a +1000 posts thread too.

That Azzurri thread has posts from the qualifications, friendlies and some 500 posts where members are moaning that Lippi didn't call Del Piero for the qualifications match against Cyprus or Georgia, merged into one thread.
I don't disagree, I was merely replying as to why it would be sticky.

So what happens with these threads after the World Cup, they become unstickied?

These threads die after the world cup so it makes no difference if they're sticky or if they exist at all.
That's why I see no problem if we open all kinds of threads in this subforum, related to the WC. Some will die in a day or two, some after 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 4 weeks and all of them after the WC ends.

My point being, the Italy thread will most likely remain active - to a degree - on this forum, which is why it is stickied in the first place :D

For the smart asses who will undoubtedly repeat again how the French team isn't French (I'm starting to think they're saying this just because the players are black), I can say that 20 of these 23 were born and raised in France. 1 was born in a French overseas department and two were born in Africa, one of which, Evra, came to France when he was six.

Ignoring the games :)D), I cut my feet on broken glass when Italy won in 2006 running home drunk. I haven't got a clue where my trainers went to.

    Back to France:

It's a very nice squad, coached by a clown. I don't like their choice of strikers though, that is not up top scratch.

Italy will enjoy beating you again. Perhaps you need to be given two penalties this time? Headbutting is still not allowed I'm afraid.

    It's a possibility, indeed.
Unfortunately for France, Lippi didn't take Del Piero at this world cup, so yes, Italy can beat France this time :agree:

Not really a valid argument, Alex scored a penalty kick against France and thus was instrumental ;).

It was another Juve player who fucked up that night :D.

France don't seem to have that many options for central midfield.

Squad looks a bit unbalanced due to L. Diarra not being replaced.
