When someone sees those photos of the handball and not the video.. he would think this is a clear penal

But when you see the vid and see that the ball was moving outside the box with a deflection.. you will be saying this should never be a penal.


Penal should only be for incidents that may prevent a goal or an direct attempt to block an assist for a goal in the penal area..

In every other incident that is not preventing a goal or an assist.. intention and carelessness should be the factor.. carelessness
It does not need to penal everytime..
Penal is cruel punishment in 90% of those cases..

For once, in a Juve game the VAR was absolutely on point with its decisions yesterday. Bonucci clearly got the ball first on the overturned penalty and the handball was on a deflection that was from behind Danilo - he wasn’t even looking in the direction the ball was travelling from, his arm was in a natural position and it could not have been intentional. Superb decision

I know both were correct decisions. But even if they weren’t, FUCK THEM, VAR’s sole existence in Italy is to fuck over Juventus whenever possible and after what they did to us against Salernitana, I hope we are on the receiving end of more “good luck” from the officials for a long time to come.

tbh these handball rules are to some extent much more annoying than Var. I mean FIFA has reset it 2020 or 2021? Nowadays I just can't be sure what kind of handball is punishable, except the Suarez-vs-Ghana kind lol.

You'd need to understand better the mechanics of the human body and what the arms actually do when adjusting position.

The point here is that Danilo was attempting to block the first shot, and in a pinball motion the ball has come back and struck him (whilst heading to the corner flag). If that happened on the initial shot it's 100% penalty even if it's probably still just a quirk of fate, simply because it's on a direct shot on goal.
