The way I see it, there's no way Max will turn this around. He's probably lost the locker room at this point. The sooner we take the damage, the better.
I've lost all faith so in Allegri so a healthy draw is the best we can hope for, that's of course assuming Agnelli has the balls to fire the dinosaur.
This sounds really fucking stupid but winning this game might be more detrimental in the longer term.
i'll root for the win once the match starts, but i get your point and to an extent i agree. i want to see a reaction by the management. being pissed and shouting in the locker obviously won't change anything. the staff responsible for the physical preparation surely has to get the axe, and that probably include nutrition specialists too. and this team simply has zero character on the pitch which is on allegri.
this is obviously a limited squad, i bet majority of tuz agrees that players like mds, sandro, kean, mckennie, bonucci, etc (fuck, that is one long list) shouldn't normally play for juventus in 2022, still, we could and should be more effective. we lead all but 3 matches this season, we usually score at the beginning of the matches, so we're not completely impotent, but can't manage games effectively. and the moment anything negative happens on the pitch, you just know that this team will crumble. this is on physical, tactical and mental preparation. against benfica i saw a motivated team for the majority of the game, but those miserable guys had no power and idea what and how to do. benfica players simply ran circles around our players, were quicker with or without the ball, we moved less and couldn't create spaces, it was painful to see. a quick change is out of question, even if we fired the physio staff today changes won't happen overnight, but something has to happen.
also, if sacking allegri and his staff is an economic question then the sooner agnelli does the math the better. allegri costs 40m for the remaining ~3 years of his contract plus ~double of that per season if we're about to get relegated from the cl places. add the loss of our players' market values, the lost gate receipts at a half empty stadium, and we're talking about hundreds of millions in the next few years. i can't even imagine what our plan is...
so yeah, i'll root for a win as always, but a
healthy draw - while it won't boost the morale for sure - won't be the end of the world either
