You have to help Ukraine here because Putin isn't stopping at Ukraine and at any time China could be jumping in to help their buddy Putin. They want Taiwan and both Xi and Putin want a communist world and neither will likely stop at it until they've succeeded or are 6 feet under.

Really don't care anymore what those animals consider an escalation. Fuck them.
Farther more if nuke's fly they are all dead just like we are and there is no winner. Unless Moscow is ready to be toppled I doubt that they will send world ending nukes.

China won't help to Putin, if China will accept the annex of Crimea and Donbass then the whole world will do the same to Taiwan

Yes. I get that what Putin is doing is fucked up, I don't buy any of his lies to justify it, but this is not Poland in 1939. This is not the start of WW3 and we shouldn't proceed as if it is.
Also sometimes the best move is no move. Kinda like how the allies ignored the ribbentrop molotov pact knowing full well it's just a matter of time before that shit collapses. I'm not saying that's the way to go here but i understand the rationale, kinda like in a tight heavy weight bout, you either wait for your opponent to tire and or be patient and keep an eye out for the right moment to deliver the KO. Unfortunately, each day that passes means more civilian lives lost, but cooler heads have to prevail regardless of the course of action.

Dude, while I agree with the sentiment in general, Russia under Putin isn’t communist at all. It’s probably the closest analogue we’ve had in a major modern state to the fascist regimes of WWII. Putin has consistently espoused the philosophy of Ivan Ilyin and the Christian Fascist State.

On the other hand no move is pretty much what we've been doing since 2014.

But of course people didn't necessarily think WWII was going to start at the beginning of WWII.

At some point conflicts may or may not grow to a global scale and it is not always easy to predict when or why.

Russia won't start WWIII because of the weapons.
1. In conventional warfare, they have 0 chance against NATO. Also, they have 0 allies who are willing to join them.
2. In nuclear warfare there are no winners (though I am a bit skeptical now about Russians nuclear might), but I don't think there is a measurable probability of nuclear war.

Also, at the end of the day, after the war is over, the whole world should think how great is to have a big country that threatens nuclear destruction every time its gas pipeline to Germany gets postponed.

It blows my mind that NATO countries couldn't provide some jets to Ukraine. The Ukrainian military and people are doing very well in spite of being outnumbered and having 1 arm tied behind their backs because of a lack of air and sea superiority.
Although I agree that NATO should provide jets, Ukraine is actually doing a great job in the air.

Nobody wanted nuclear war in 1962 either but it really did come close to that because once escalation begins where does it end and Joe Biden is no JFK. That idiots out there mumbling about regime change. What does regime change mean for someone like Putin?

Can him or his inner circle/ allies ever let go of power in any significant way without risking being exposed and spending the rest of their lives in prison? So the only end game here is what then?

Does NATO really want to push in a direction in which diplomatic relations with Russia are no longer possible? Where any escalation could quickly spiral in a dangerous direction and that famous direct line between the pentagon and kremlin is no longer in use.

This is not the start of WWIII so let's not make it that.
