From this post I can infer that you belive stupid people should have the right to stupid opinions and not be called out for them on the guise of "free speech".
Well life doesn't work like that. You play stupid games, you usually win stupid prizes.
Also you are starting to sound like a conspiracy theorists and we all know how "smart", those kind of people tend to be.
1: Then you are misinterpreting my argument: My issue is not with people getting called out for saying stupid shit: that is well deserved and only natural.
A racist political party in my country for example try to use the argument of "free speech" when they rally with racist banners, bully people, burn the Quran and preach pure hateful ideology. In that case i would agree, they should not be excused.
My issue and what i was refering to was people getting banned from society, losing their job or being shushed into oblivion for thinking in a a different way/challenging the mainstream view or by simply being contrarian in a civil matter regarding political subjects. I would argue there is quite a clear difference.
2: Feel free to label me as a conspiracy theorist, altough i feel thats pretty over the top given the discussion: I didnt bring a lot of conspiracies to the table, i simply argued my stance about Western free speech and my issues regarding it. The points were critiqued fairly , discussed in a civilized manner, challenged, and to some extent agreed upon. I see nothing crazy about that, on the contrary, its healthy as it gives a nuanced debate rather than the usual shit throwing and one might actually learn something or adjust.
