I don’t think it can be limited to the media in the west. It’s not a exaggeration by any means to say the media in general. Objectivity and obfuscation are inversely correlated.

But it's not believe 100% or disbelieve at a 100. Any information you receive your brain processes and assigns a percentage of credibility to it. If i remember correctly the highest credibility rating for the CIA for any event is 85% and that's the fucking CIA. The main problem is that social networks have become the main distributor of fakes and when finally they've started to do something about it during peak COVID days people have started to blame them for restrictions on freedom of speech. If you are a famous person, you have to do the research before your post or re-post anything, its just as simple as that. Le Tessier could have said that you shouldn't believe everything you see on the news and no one would have said a word to him for it. But instead he reposted some kind of schizophrenia and was forced to quit because he is stupid.
