Lol, and who does all that to beautiful Russian people? Who falsifies elections? Who beats up people? Who bombs Ukrainian cities and kills civilians? Some unknown aliens or maybe russians?
Everyone understands that going against the system in modern russia is very dangerous, but "the system", the majority is also russians. And what the guy like Dolin simply glosses over is that he is a freak, with his democracy, peace, etc. for the majority of russians he is a freak. So maybe the "free world" is correct in assessments?

I don't think that avg russian is dumber than avg european, what, according to this thread, makes avg russian much smarter than avg tuzer.
Propaganda often capitalizes on a ressentiment prevalent in society. I think it's possible to create one from the thing air, suppose. But that's not the case for russians, I think you agree.
Idk, maybe you don't see it, because you are inside. But for an outsider, even my russian so-called friends (now ex-friends, fuck em, hope they will go through everything we are going through atm and more) in a previous life always had a metropolitan mindset, an empire is the be all end all.
On top of that, I do believe that it's ingrained in russian culture and russian mentality too deep, and it won't go away just like that. Even if this Putin dies, wihout major catharsis nothing changes. Maybe again, a decade of relative freedom, and another Putin will appear.

1) Average Ivan is 100% dumber than average John, Frank, Michelle, Heinrich or Ciro just because russian school education is still living in 80s. Also you won't find even 1 russian university in the top200 of the world's best universities and it says a lot.

Some one from an internal forum also said that when he was in Germany for a perfectionist course in inginery he was in a class with a bunch a different people from all over Europe.
Among one of them was a Russian. So they starting discussions about a bunch a different topics and in the end the Russian guy says that all their countries are Fascist (Germany, Romania, Netherlands etc.). They tried to make him see the light but to no avail and this guy was someone with a college degree, not some peasant from the countryside.
The relationship between them didn't go to well, during the course, because they all started, at some point, to make fun of his political concepts.
