Censorship is what Putin is doing here, do you know that legally Twitter is not available in Russia and we have to use VPN? Same story with RT in Europe - it license was revoked and they are not available in Europe anymore so Twitter have to follow European regulators
It's a slippery slop. You don't fight censorship with censorship.

That's why the west is a fucked up place, all these qanon anti-vaxxers trumpists left right wing radicals are children of the absence of any responsibility for the spread of fakes and conspiracy theories, and now when finally the social networks are trying to do something against fake distributors they've became the enemies of freedom of speech lmao

What? I don't even know... You live in an upside-down world if you think social networks are paladins of free thought. They are instrument of social engineering of the highest order.

No, my point is that social networks were very poorly moderated, they didn't give a single fuck about fake news and it's led to Russian invasion of trolls to Twitter and Facebook in 2016, brexit propaganda, qanon's conspiracy theories, anti-vaxxers movement, January sixth mutiny in the us, and now when the social networks have finally started to moderate content, they've started to do something against the hordes of trolls and bots they've become the enemies of freedom of speech which is a fucking bullshit

What's your bet? I'd say 65% are for the war, 7-10% against and the remaining are even more hopeless than the first one.
Even by Kremlin's poll its around 75% pro war/ against the war 25% , but in reality in think that pro war numbers are around 45-50% or even less

Nah, I don't believe that. Maybe now it's 45-50, because of the sanctions and also apparently russian soldiers are dying too. A month ago all my ex-family from bumfuckingnowhere in russia (Belgorod, Saratov, Samara) were happy that we are getting bombed, literally happy, according to them we deserved it. Not one was against the war. Fuck em, hope they all die without western medicine.

I agree, but I have issue when this is done selectively, moderating can be used and manipulated, there is no transparency, and again the point is that moderating views is a slippery slop, are you comfortable with a giant mega-corporation moderating views with zero accountability?

I'll remined you that hate speech and inciting violence is a red line supposedly but Facebook made calls to kill Russians exempt, are you ok with that?

Nah, it's the reality, I live here, I know many imbeciles who are pro war for no reason, and at the same time around 30% are against the war for sure, and keep in mind that many people doesn't even know anything about what is going on in Ukraine

Zuckerberg testified in Congress, Facebook pays endless fines, what do you mean by zero accountability? It's exact opposite situation now because they've started to do something because of the pressure that was applied on them, especially during peak COVID days, when anti-vaxxers have completely lost their minds

It wasn't against Russians
"Facebook and Instagram had relaxed rules on violent messages aimed at Russia's army and leaders."

EXCLUSIVE Facebook temporarily allows posts on Ukraine war calling for violence against invading Russians or Putin's death
https://www.reuters.com/world/europ...w-calls-violence-against-russians-2022-03-10/
Nah, since russians are not black then hate speech is perfectly fine  oh and they will blame you for antisemetism if you will criticize Israel government for bombing Palestine. These fucking companies are working for Putin, i swear, they do it all to help his fucking propaganda about how the whole world is russophobic :sergio:

Because Reuters made it look that it was about all Russians but then the Facebook has explained that it's about the posts about the russian army and Putin and his friends and that that possibility is only available for Ukrainian accounts and then it's absolutely fair, fuck Putin and Russian army

I’m really surprised that people from east to west seem so loyal to Russia and identify as Russian (at least as far as I know). Especially compared to the state of the cities they live in. The standard between a average Russian city and a (West-)European one is something else.
