They should do exactly the opposite of whatever they are doing now.

This is not about Ukraine, but it`s about Russia. They are doing everything possible to weaken Russia (which was their plan all along) and to be honest they are succeeding in it. Since they are weaking Russia, the consequences for Ukraine will be even more severe. After this Ukraine will be devastated, Russia will be weakened and Europe will be on it`s knees. By imposing sanctions to Russia, Europe is imposing sanctions to itself since they are dependable on Russia.

Russia will come out wounded but still find a way to survive this, as they will start trading and do more import/export from/to China, India, Pakistan, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina etc.
But Ukraine will be a post war battlefield after this.

Nato, EU and western powers should act as intermediaries between Russia and Ukraine and stop this as soon as possible because more people will die and the whole world is suffering.
Throughout the previous century European leaders proved to be inadequate and incapable as they somehow allowed the two World Wars to happen on European Soil.

We are still early in the new century and they are proving once again that they are incapable and inadequate of foreseeing and preventing this to happen on European soil for third time in a row.

The good thing is that there is still time to stop this before the bear goes into berserk mode.

The bad thing is they chose the wrong approach.
What negotiations do you think would be accepted by an invading army with the intent of annexing the nation or installing their own government?

Did you really think that Russia will bow down to US/EU puppet?
There is no doubt we will pay a price to defend democracy. I have been preparing for years for this.
Putin just accelerated the European transition to clean energy and self-sufficiency. He also strengthens our resolve to fight against tyrants and anti-democratic influence.
Tougher times ahead for any country that relies on fossil fuels export and population suppression. I believe that sooner or later most of them will go through revolutions.
In short term, China may absorb most of Russia's oil and gas exports, but long-term even they will become more energy independent. I am confident that even China will go through a pro-democratic uprising in the next 10-15 years if we are still alive to witness it.

It is, what it is man.

The same Russia commited crimes and atrocities in Syria that were more severe than what we've seen in Ukraine so far. We shouldn't even start talking about the Chechen genocide. No sanctions, no nothing then. Everyone's all up in arms now though.

Turkey shoots down a brazen Russian jet violating its airspace, on it's way to bomb bakeries, markets and hospitals in Syria; ERDOGAN BAAAAD!
If Swedes or Estonians shoot down a a Russian jet on it's way to Ukraine today, they'd be praised.

There will always be bias and double standards at the end of the day.
Whaddaboutism is going whack out there.

It plays a part that the victims look like them, but in reality it's two different sets of problems. That it's part of the western world is more important than their hair and eye colour. People care about what's around them and most likely to affect them.
That hair and eye color argument is such a crock. It's not like Ukraine in 2014 was filled with blacks and Arabs when Crimea got taken over compared to now.

Russia is having MASSIVE problems here. Some are starting to say that this war effort is totally falling apart.

Interesting. Could be a lot of ruptured gas tanks.

I'm telling ya... airdrop more screwdrivers on them Russian convoys.

Universal Healthcare still doesn't exist, can't do shit about racism, opioid epidemic, obesity, cancel culture, can't get rid of 2 party system and still calling it a democracy for some reason, decided to elect an orange clown as a president
100%

Putin failing on every level. Pushing the US/NATO to further arm and support nations on its border now, something they had refused to do for years to avoid provocation. All that is out the window now, Russia isolated, economy in shambles, thriving neighbours stationing more NATO troops and weapons systems.
Russia is so overextended in Ukraine, I would laugh my ass off if the Baltics launched an attack at their exposed flanks.

Can they arrest tens of thousands of people? And how exactly are you scared of losing money (if you mean related to protesting)?
the tweet talks about elites. lately all public figures here who have opposed what's currently going on have lost their jobs, lost contracts, their concerts have been banned etc.

Russian's repressive laws let them turn you into the extremist for protesting And if you was put into the list of extremists all you bank accounts will be blocked, you cant use it anymore, all your money will be frozen
