Can we rename the thread please? It's no longer a conflict after the invasion begun. you can call it either war or invasion.

  • The ceasefire was due to begin at 09:00 local time (07:00 GMT), with the first evacuations starting two hours later
  • But soon after the ceasefire was announced, Mariupol's deputy mayor said Russian troops were still shelling the city, and fighting continued on the agreed escape route
Oh yea, there was nothing else to expect from terrorists.

- Here. ceasefire to evacuate;
*5 mins later*
- Times up.

Art and culture is were we should draw a line.
that's even debatable. i posted some news about the bavarian opera firing their russian conductor (active putin supporter for years) and a singer who failed to steer clear from both the conductor and putin, and i can't say they were wrong.

old art and culture though, that's untouchable for me. not that i have any intention to start re-reading russian classics now, still, those are classics.

"In the case of Ukraine... there were widespread, inciteful and entirely fictitious reports in the western media of Russian troops butchering a contingent of 13 Ukrainian soldiers on Snake Island, in the Black Sea. A fake audio tape was released of the Ukrainians supposedly cursing the Russian invaders. Ukraine’s government promised each of them a Hero of Ukraine award. But in fact, it was Russian media reports that were true. There were 82 Ukrainian soldiers and they had surrendered. All were alive and well. "
Unless I missed something, the "russian warship go fuck yourself" was not fake. The only fake information was that they all died.

Isn't it? Or at least for the most part. Now, we can argue that the propaganda in this particular case is for good cause, but can we argue that it's not propaganda?
One can say "what about the Russian media?" and even though I don't follow it, I trust our Russian friends here and I can imagine that it's far worse. But I'd be stupid not to see that western media are acting as cheerleaders for war.
I was reading a piece by a British author, expert on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and I think he has a point when he writes these parts:

"(Western) Journalists are cheering on the arming of militias and civilians (in Ukraine) making improvised explosives – acts they usually treat as terrorism.
It is simply astonishing how many western journalists, including normally cautious BBC reporters, are fawning over young women building Molotov cocktails on the streets of Ukrainian cities like Kyiv. Western journalists’ difficulty containing their identification with, and support for, Ukraine’s civilian 'resistance' must be maddening to Palestinians in tiny Gaza. It’s suddenly sexy to make improvised explosives – at least, if the media consider you white, European and "civilised".
That might surprise other, more established resistance movements, especially in the Middle East. They have invariably found themselves tarred as terrorists for doing much the same."

In another example, a clip from a video game was widely promoted as a heroic lone Ukrainian fighter pilot – dubbed the Ghost of Kyiv – shooting down Russian planes and helicopters.
Misinformation has been shared on western social media accounts, and most of it is designed to evoke sympathy for Ukraine and hostility to Russia."
There is always a battle of propaganda in war but, this time, it is mostly one sided because the ukranians have every motivation to talk up their accomplishments, make up fake stories, rally the troops etc but why is there nothing coming from the other side? Why are the Russians not hyping their own accompishments Oh that's right because they are a superpower invading a sovereign nation and slaughtering civilians.

They don't talk about it at all because their actions are not defensible

The level of retardism increases :baus:

- Zagreb philharmonic orchestra cuts Tchaikovsky
- Russian breed cats banned from competitions
- Italian university bans Dostoevsky course

All are just amazing.
They need to draw a line between a mad man and the general public most of whom can be given the benefit of doubt as everything they consume is curated.

I didn't understand everything, but is he saying at the end that Ukrainians are chasing pro-Russians on the streets and they murder them on the spot?
Yes  that's the whole idea of his propaganda - Russia had to invade ukraine in 2014 to protect ethnic Russians from Bandera's followers  and now Russian army ks helping Ukrainians to clean their government from neo Nazis and fascists
But the real reason for invasion is to deny opportunity for Ukrainians to join the EU which will give them possibility to join NATO and it will mean that Russia will lose their Crimean naval bases

Should have let the Germans bring some order and civilization to these mongol DNA having cocksuckers.
The cunts that try to liken this to what Germany did with Austria, its nothing like it, when they wholeheartedly wanted it. Do Ukrainians want it? Doesn't look like it.
Leave it to the 95% media owning Juice to bend the truth.
