Ukrainians will never accept being ruled by Russia. Neither will most others in Europe. So do they occupy Ukraine forever? Do they kill everyone? It makes no sense, so I would be worried if I was anywhere in Eastern Europe.
Europe mildened their stance on Crimea, Donbas and Luhansk pretty fast.

As for the bolded - that probably is the plan. Russia themselves have plenty people that despise Putin yet continue living there. Same with Belarus and Luka. Same with Azerbaijan and Aliyev. Baltic States spent 50 years in Soviet Union and most hated every minute.

The Ukrainians I know have said they will never accept being a Russian puppet. So that won’t work.

My buddy married a Ukraine girl and while they said Putin wouldn’t invade, if he did nobody will go along with it.

I think best case scenario is a Russian uprising

Any reliable info on how many died so far?
Don’t forget Russia is rolling around with their portable crematorium, hard to get a number of casualties when they’re burning people up and spitting out ashes

I expect Kiev to fall soon. Not buying the optimism of the media. Yet, Ukrainians should be proud of how the fought despite having almost none help from the west.
Sadly, I think the only way they can win in Kiev is if they resort to urban combat and Russia doesn’t encircle the city to starve it out. It doesn’t seem like they want to bomb Kiev into oblivion and are going to start with ground war, so it’s possible they can fight hard in the streets. Horrific, but not impossible.

They need to get creative once the ground forces come in. Like super creative. Oh, and they need to be very vocal about their wins around the city, hopefully showing Russian troops that they’re coming to get lit up.

Hopefully they are getting tactical guidance from someone with experience and intel. Not gonna mention who.

This might sound stupid , but is there any chance for Ukraine to win this ?

slim chance, but yes I think. They need more weaponry sent from West and technology. Russian troops are pretty unorganized, as always, they use numbers, not tactics. The problem is that they can do these attacks in waves, when UA defenders are exhausted
