He tried retiring when he willingly allowed himself to be replaced as President. People said it was because of terms rules and while technically true nobody would've done anything if he allowed himself more terms. He allegedly wanted to step aside and allow more influences to his deputies and realized he didn't like it.

He enjoys being in power and being the central figure for Russia. The modern Stalin. Being out of power is to be nothing and his influence, even in the shadow as a puppetmaster, isn't the same.

Iranian currency have lost 90% of its value in past 3 years. Iran is under heavy sanctions and and is also a dry country that can’t produce her own food. Iran can offer cheap oil, which Russia already has plenty of.

So what if it lost value compared to the dollar? They still have enough to survive it just means they cant export what they have in exchange for money or goods or services.. it doesnt mean they can't trade with Russia and survive.

For 40 years they are "vulnerable" but still there with power of the bullet.. Currency losing value means the price of everything that is imported, which is pretty much everything, will go up accordingly while people on fixed income get crushed. It was reported that 70% of Iranians don’t get enough calories.

Everything is getting worse day by day. The cost of living is extremely high, especially buying and renting a house and People can not afford to buy. Sanctions have crippled Iran economy since trump. The effects of sanctions last for years.
I myself can't afford the cost of living here . The cost of food, renting house and English language classes is so high for me that at the end of the month I do not have any save. same goese for majority of people in iran.
Iran's economy is almost destroyed and exports are very low, as matter of fact Iran's GDP ranks last among all countries in the world.

No country trades with Iran and there is no strong diplomatic relationship between Iran and the West. With Uranium, it's a tool for gaining military power, and still not that advanced.

Ukrainians will never accept being ruled by Russia. Neither will most others in Europe. So do they occupy Ukraine forever? Do they kill everyone? It makes no sense, so I would be worried if I was anywhere in Eastern Europe.
