The UK exiting the EU was propaganda making the most of the stupid English people who believed that the borders to immigrants would be closed. Boatloads of people still come every day via France. Even pro-Brexit politicians like Nigel Farage have disappeared because they don't know what to do next with the unexpected result. British politics is at an all-time low right now.

You’d think this would be a place where the Tucker Carlson’s and Marjorie Taylor Greene’s and AOC’s and Ilhan Omar’s of the world could find some common ground. :lol3:
Exactly. I was saying that to somebody at work earlier.

All sides of the polical spectrum should be able to praise people for doing good things. Fuck the extremists on both sides who try to drag the country further apart.

Immediately removing Russia from SWIFT :p
You do realize that SWIFT is a messaging protocol, not a banking network, right?

Also remember that Russians owe a lot of debt outside the country and they would be prevented from paying it.

The US is in zero danger from Russia, zero. Europe tho...
The U.S. is going to feel the effects no matter what. Doesn’t have to be on the doorstep anymore like war hasn’t evolved since 1938. Russia’s cyber warfare alone…

wake up call for other weak and small european countries.
Yeah, we’ll, in a strange way I take a sliver of solace in that my puny European nation, almost nobody has heat nor air conditioning. Natural gas is sometimes used for cooking, but even less and less with induction stoves being the norm here.

.
Of course. But that doesn’t mean that taking such drastic action shouldn’t be on the table right now. We’re not going to see open warfare on the ground so very severe sanctions are really the only way to go here.
