Well it makes a lot of sense to me as I don't rate Rosicky that much and I don't see anything special about him. He might me better than our midfielders but there are many other midfielders out there that are much better bar the fact that our midfielders (except for Vieira) have become beyond par.

But I still do not understand how you can say Rosicky is not Juventus material, especially when the argument being used is the fact that he will travel to Madrid in the summer. He could easily light up La Liga next season and be one of the best players around, just like van der Vaart this year. Is he any less of a player just because he chose a more quiet location at a club he would prefer? Watch some of his performances and see..

Rosicky is an amazing player, one of my favorites, and he can open up any defense with his passing ability and vision. He's been doing it for years in Dortmund with players such as Jan Koller, Frings, Ewerthon, and Dede around him...is it somehow more difficult for such a player to reside around Trezeguet, Camoranesi, Del Piero, and Zambrotta instead? I don't think so, and infact he would probably become a better player with those guys around him. Not to mention the fact if there is one thing we lack its a player like Rosicky, and we should be able to manage 7 million for such an outstanding player. I love how we can field players such as Giannichedda and Blasi and an underperforming Nedved, however come in here and say Rosicky is not Juventus material. Each to his own I guess.

Well see how good his when the USA and Czech Rep clash in the first round of the world cup.;)

Nedved is still decent but in all reality it would be a fantastic situation to bring in a young midfielder like Rosicky and allow him a couple years to split time with Nedved and settle down into the swing of things than to wait until Nedved runs out of steam and get stuck with the balls in hands.

Do we really need him? Alot of you wanted Hleb as well but I don't see neither of them really fitting into our system. I wanted Riquelme but he wouldn't satisfy Capello either since he preferes defensive abilities in the middle. Capello uses wingers, not playmakers. We are doing just fine with our current system and I don't see any reason to change it.

He'd make a great 2nd half sub though, but that would be an awful waste of talent...
