Well see how good his when the USA and Czech Rep clash in the first round of the world cup.;)
We will need Johnny O'Brien to shut his ass down, thats for sure. Unfortunately I will have to wish the demise of Nedved during the final Juventus match of the season and hope for recovery no sooner than July 1st, or whenever he doesn't have to face our country anymore..

I don't give a shit :D

And no, I honestly have very little affiliation with this country and it's ways other than that I live here. I couldn't give a shit how we do in the olympics, I don't want to watch the superbowl, and team USA isnt my team of choice.

It's also quite hard to respect our government with the terminator at a state level and a fucking moron at the federal level

Not necessarily. Have you been watching Bobby Convey play for Reading? He's pretty much a serious threat to any defence, especially one covering Landon Donovan and Brian McBride. They are going to score goals at this World Cup.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to see much of the League Championship because coverage here in the States is sparse at best. However, I have seen a bunch of highlights of Convey tearing up defenses in the former 1st division, and with Reading some 10 or 20 points above the opposition in first place, that is very promising indeed. Convey, however, has not always been used by our manager Bruce Arena, and in many ways it would be smart to work him into our squad someway, somehow. If we have a fit Reyna and O'Brien available, as well as Beasley, Donovan, Convey, and an in-form Clint Dempsey, we could open some eyes this summer in Germany...yet again another four years down the road.

This team could cause almost anybody problems:

Keller

Cherundolo - Onyewu - Berhalter - Bocanegra

Dempsey - Reyna - Convey

Donovan - Beasley

McBride

Exactly. The only problem will be the defense, they are in general old or inexperienced. Gibbs, Vanney, and Pope would also be in contention for a spot, but I like your line-up. Although, with Reyna most likely injured (and even if he's not), I'd like to see Klein or Gavin get a game or two in midfield.

Ugh, without Reyna we will really lose our control and experiance in midfield and the one player that holds our team together. If he is not available to play this summer we will have a selection problem because we really do not have any other options in the center of the pitch besides Mastroeni and Zavagnin, two players I have not really been impressed with.

In defense we do have some problems because Gibbs has not really lived up to expectations and I really do not want Eddie Pope in the mix either...he's too old for my liking and somewhat mistake-prone nowadays. Klein is a decent player, however he is not as good as Ralston IMO and Gavin is perhaps a bit too young for this summer as well. But the one thing we certainly have is good attacking options in midfield, and this is great to see for this summer and 2010.

The great thing about this USA side is that we MUST go out on the pitch with a positive attitude and take the game to the opposition, no matter who they are. There is no sense holding back and trying to play defensive football with no true defensive midfielders and players such as Onyewu and Pope at the back. We might as well take the game to Italy and pressure them much like English clubs take the game to Italian sides, making them commit errors. Against the Czechs we will have to beat them at their own attacking game while stiffle Rosicky and Nedved, so let the best attacking side win. Karl Bruckner stated he didnt know some of our players after the draw in December...he will know them rather well after we beat his side in June.
